"Visiting the Vue next door, we wanted a quick decent meal. Ask didn't disappoint. I had the small calamari to start, which was good and not overcooked. It needed a little salt though and I had to ask for condiments. Main was seafood linguine in a tomato sauce. This was good and plenty of seafood with good flavours. I did sample their chilli oil which is fabulous and has been noted for a future pizza visit! The icing on the cake was Tiramisu to finish. This was delicious and actually surprisingly light too! Top job! I would have given a 5 but little things like having to ask for condiments, no bowl to put the shells in from the seafood, maybe even a finger bowl?. These little details would have raised the bar. Overall though, very nice and won't disappoint. Good for a pre cinema meal!"

Once every couple of months we treat ourselves to an ' ASK Italian ' . We thoroughly enjoy the food. The service is always impeccable and the staff always very pleasant. We also enjoy the fact we can use our Tesco partner vouchers which takes the pressure off of the price of the meal. Cant wait to go next time.

The food and service were excellent as usual. However, we were unable to use our free July gift vouchers this time because there were 9 of us. Normally, the manager allows it since the limit in the fine print specifies a maximum of 8 people per group, but the new waitress did not permit it. Should we consider sitting at two separate tables next time we have a group of 9? Voir le carte

Good experience. Staff were efficient, friendly and accommodating. The Food was good and in many ways you cannot go far wrong with the food at an Ask. It was a nice touch that they offered you a free small glass of their Fresh Lemonade. Small gestures like that go a long way. Does not cost much to do. Anyways, will consider returning with friends in the not too distant future. Thank you to all staff involved.

We went to this restaurant for our wedding anniversary and were impressed by the quick service. As soon as we entered, we were asked if we had any allergies. The gluten-free menu had a variety of options to choose from. I had the pasta with Bolognese sauce and a glass of red wine, which was delicious. The Etna pudding was absolutely amazing. We can't wait to go back. It was a lovely experience not having to worry about the food. Well done!

Food was very good and service too. But the only problem was we were rushed as during the week they close early. I sadly didn’t know that till I got there. Had a table for 15 people 7.30 slot . Once 5here I was told the kitchen closes at 9 and restaurant 9.30. Too late to go elsewhere so had no choice. We spend a lot of money over £500 and not even given 5he chance to have deserts. Very disappointed so sadly would not be visiting Westwood cross anymore. Voir le carte

I really enjoy this restaurant. The waiter was very polite and seated us at our table. My wife ordered a chicken and pancetta salad, while I chose the asparagus and pancetta tagliatelle. Both dishes were delicious. We also enjoyed a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. For dessert, we shared a Tiramisu. An added bonus was that they accepted our Tastecard, saving us £16. The only minor complaint was that the music was a bit too loud, but it didn't ruin our enjoyable lunch.

My hubby was away in Spain, regaling us with posts of his fun and food. I decided we shouldn't just sit at home. My boy chose ASK. He loves their pizza. We hadn't been for quite a while. We didn't book, but there were plenty of seats so we had no trouble getting a table. He chose the Margarita, his perennial favourite, while I opted for the Genovese, also one of my favourites. Unfortunately, ASK had changed the pasta in it changing to a horrible frilly version instead of the substantial one like penne that I'd been used to. When I commented on it, our server was nonplussed saying I could have whichever pasta I chose. I was very happy and selected a similar version to penne. We both agreed th...

"Having been raised at the knees of Caribbean and African women, sometimes I’m just in need of some soul food. I’ve often gone past Mullins and seen that it is busy, and looks bright, clean, warm and friendly. And it is. The decor works really well. Low-key, warm and welcoming. Music is a soothing stream of lilting Caribbean classics. The waiting staff are lovely. So friendly. And the menu looks great. There isn’t too much of it, and it is quite hard to choose because it all sounds amazing. Price points are really good. But. The food is genuinely terrible. I went for a Creole fish stew. I don’t know how you can make a stew without flavour. When you are cooking things slowly and together, flavour infuses flavour. But not here. This was a good sized portion of piping hot well presented food. But my God it tasted awful. Basically chopped potato surrounded by small lumps of bland unidentifiable white fish, half a dozen mussels, some of which were still closed, and therefore inedible, and three flavourless prawns in shells. There was a pinch of Samphire on the top, and this was the sum total of the vegetables I could find. It came in what I can only describe as a thick red sauce. If there was tomato in it, there was no flavour to it. It was highly salty, and this was the dominant flavour throughout. The fish had no flavour of fish, and it was intensely spiced in a lip plumping way. Essentially, it was all heat and salt. With a slight tang of gents toilets. I suspect this was from the mussels. I did raise the blandness twice with the waiter, and the strange unpleasant toilet flavour. He said he would tell chef. And that was that. No feedback on the dreadful flavour other than that it was all fresh. I ate the entirety of the meal because I had travelled a long way and had not eaten. I saw it simply as fuel. It was not enjoyable. I paid and left. Mullins is so close to getting everything right, but a restaurant is its food. I’m not going back."
