Aqui Tapas - Carte

I was here with an international group of friends (with a Portuguese and a Spanish) and they were very nice and spoke Portuguese, Spanish, English or German. eating was great and really typical.

this place is just great. fish is really fresh and is stylishly served by friendly staff. on Saturday night they could find a place for us, although we had not reserved. there are two rooms with lots of space. highly recommended: "seep and garnel spits." delicious!

we've been in a position with 10 people, no problem, there's a big room in the back. we ordered cocktails (caipirinha and mohitos are good there!) and asked for a surprising tapas menu. very good food, but the waiter left us a few times without drinks, had to ask him to come by. Voir le carte

we only had drinks here, porto, what we were glad they had it. the service is in no way special, somewhat slow. no smiling or much talking. there were two huge rooms, in the other it seemed very loud. it was full and it sounded like a show was taking place. the other room in which we were was more romantic, quieter and had more feeling. in large tables I assume that they often serve large groups, perhaps families. very large menu.

when we went through the ****, we were looking for a place to eat. each restaurant and every bar seemed full, so we took a table in the aqui, there were empty tables inside. we ordered two beers and a special tapas court for two people who cost about 28 euro if I wasn't mistaken. They served us a court of different tapas (garnels, chicken with curry sauce, jalapenos, patatas bravas etc.) it was quite good, though not exceptional. they also had a nice offer of steaks and fish, but everything was too expensive to us. to tell the truth, we were looking for a cheaper, simpler place, but this was also beautiful.

we went to Valentine's Day and it was a lot of going. we had the feeling that they had hired too many people, and consequently the staff was stressed and the service became hastily and bad. we waited patiently for our food, but when it came, it was wrong and it took a while until we directed the attention of the staff to us and reported this. they did not really give us an answer to what they would do, so we started eating the rest, and finally they replaced the wrong one. eating was excellent and hot. we then tried to order desolate, and it took so long until we tried to talk again with the staff that we gave up and went. would come back if it was not so full. was brought here by our daughter when she visited her. we were on a Saturday night and have the pleasure of getting a table with minimal waiting time. aqui was quite busy in both dining rooms. the personal was efficient and pleasant. we three had 2 sampler plates with their tapas. all were pleasant and there were only a few overlaps between the 2 plates. will say that even limonaden or beer plus drinking money was the bill for the 3 88 usd. the biggest part is that lighting is bad and it makes it difficult to read/visit the menu. as much as I enjoyed eating the service and the atmosphere, I am sure that I would like to try out other restaurants during my next visit to hamburg. this would app...
