it was a wonderful experience for my sister and harassed in law that had a delicious dinner at the restaurant anna. the personal was exceptionally friendly and professional with love to detail. the selection of food and drinks was very high and deserves to praise it. a special thank you to theny helbig for a successful surprise and to all the staff in the hotel elefant who make this visit unforgettable.

We booked a table for 14:00 but we were not offered the full menu, only snacks. This was not clear to us in advance as lunch times were ranging from 12-14 on „the fork“. The service team suggested me that this is usual time for lunch in 5 star hotels. Very impolite service that did not offer any solution and treated us very condescending. The Schnitzel we both of us had was good and the creme brulee was excellent!

This cozy and beautiful restaurant is located in the excellent Hotel Elefant in Weimar and is stylish and modernly renovated, beautiful interior. The dishes were quickly brought, very well tasted and also visually beautifully dressed. The alcohol-free aperitif by J. Geiger was excellent. The wine was suitable for food. The service was friendly and hospitable as you wish. Recommended restaurant. Card payment is possible.

Actually, there are NULL points from our family. Today's 1st Christmas holiday, I had ordered a table for 5 people. Of course I had left my mobile number when ordering. When we appeared today, the house told me that the restaurant has been closed for a week. They also informed all guests. I was forgotten and stood with my family after the announcement on the winter marketplace in Weimar. Luckily, there are still gastronomics in Weimar that have understood the Christmas message and invite people, even without pre-registration.

Here I found top gastronomy two weeks ago on my tour through the middle east of Germany, which convinced me and enthusiastic. The walk through the hall of the Hotel Elephant to reach the AnnA is an impressive way, especially with regard to the very historical background. The greeting with the name and the introductory words in the restaurant was refreshing and professional, the menu from the presentation was a good idea, of course in content. However, as I did not agree to compile the menu in parts, I chose a calf statue, a wild boar and a calf fillet with a scalopp, as a conclusion for cherry and wine foam from the menu.
