"The Alpenrose comes highly recommended on the TripAdvisor site. And so I went there for a dinner. Perhaps it was an off night, I don't know. I ordered a lake fish dinner and a bottle of white wine from Spain. The fish (perch I think) was pretty awful, perhaps because it was neither fresh nor well-prepared. To make matters worse, the dinner was quite expensive. As for the wine, well, it was perfectly awful. Spain is not noted for its white wines, but this wine was from a region with a rising reputation for good wine. As the cost of the wine was close to $75, I assumed it was more than worth a try. Big mistake. Okay, the customer assumes some responsibility for selecting a particular wine. Still, if a reputable restaurant places the wine on its menu--with an expensive price that conveys a degree of quality, and the wine is just bottom of the barrel, then you are left with a feeling of being exploited. I left the restaurant with 115 fewer dollars than when I entered, and wished that I had just stayed home (or in my hotel room, to be exact)."

after a few years we returned to dinner at the restaurant alpenrose. typical Swiss cuisine, we have chosen a wienerschnitzel with fries and a delicious sminuzza of zurighese veal with rösti. for sweet ice cream. care and attentive service, prices in line with the region. recommended!

This is a super restaurant and one of our favourites in Sils, which we visit regularly. Perch is often served in restaurants in Switzerland, but the dish created by Piedr Duri is beyond good creative, flavourful and beautifully presented. elegant wooden walls decorate the dining room that has a very comfortable and romantic atmosphere. the waitress was absolutely adorable, although I suspect that she is more than a waitress when she described how she perfected the recipe of the home cocktail (age apple squirting, delicious! . all dishes were presented very well and the aromen glänzten at the sea. and above all the revisited profiterole that were covered instead of hot

Down the hill from our hotel that couldn’t accommodate us for dinner the evening we arrived, this restaurant has a small cozy family atmosphere. Our food was outstanding. As advised by our waitress, we ordered from the seasonal side of the menu. Both of us had the venison. It was unbelievably tender and not the slightest bit gamy. The wine list while not comprehensive, was very good. I’d go back in a heartbeat. In fact, maybe tonight!
