The restaurant was closed! I couldn't eat there, even though my reservation was confirmed. Nobody answered the phone, and my message went unanswered!

I’d say good food, not not very good value for money. £35 per person, not very expensive but still local Londoners can find same quality but much cheaper elsewhere such as Whitechapel.

really good turkish food, great service, and reasonable prices. Sigara boregi is a must as an appetizer, mixed grill and pide are really good as main dish. Try Kunefe for desert with turkish tea

I had made a reservation for a special occasion and was excited based on the reviews. We initially thought the restaurant being closed was just a misunderstanding with OpenTable, and it appeared to be open according to Google. However, I was far from impressed with the experience and will not be returning. For anyone considering dining here, be aware that it might not even be open. Voir le carte

Fantastic food I found out about this new restaurant on instagram. I’ve met friends yesterday and at some point we decided to go for dinner. Initially I’ve suggested Chinese food. As the place in chinatown was full I instantly remembered this new Turkish restaurant. The food we ordered was beyond delicious. I’d recommend Ali nazik (adana) kebab, their grilled and extremely succulent chicken, cig köfte (starter) and ayran. I’d always recommend to have some Turkish tea before leaving the restaurant. The staff members were very nice and thoughtful. For the summer time they do have some space outside.

Cig kofte was one of the worst I’ve ever tasted. It had no structure, tasted like cumin paste with some tomato puree. Muhammara was much better. Yet it lacks a flavour layer of grilled red peppers. Eggplant mezes were ok however kopoglu should not have been served with yoghurt. Instead, vinegar oil dressing should have been used. Zirh kebab tried Urfa was one of the best I’ve tried in the UK. Kusneme was on the other hand too chewy. It is one of the tender part of mutton. I wonder how they managed to bbq it that chewy. Gavurdagi salad was incomplete: it was only a mixture of chopped tomatoes, crushed walnuts and pomegranate paste olive oil dressing. In fact, myself is a better representation...

You can’t deny that Central London has a certain buzz to it! We visited Ali Ocakbasi, a fantastic Turkish Restaurant in Leicester Square and dined alfresco on a warm evening. The staff were super friendly from the outset and there was a lively and relaxed atmosphere. There is a whole host of amazing dishes on the menu focusing on traditional Turkish feasts.
