"dined outdoors, in the courtyard of the hotel orazio, to which the restaurant is annexed (although open to all). suggestive environment with large and well spaced tables, pleasant background music with correctly contained volume. good hot bread with taste of oil, excellent sucker, fascine alla lucana missing of sapidity, good cheek pastries and cream of podolic caciocavallo (but a bit rough dish). drank an excellent aglianico of the winery. Good service. Curious note: at the request of my husband to have raw peppers to be nibbled (it was our last dinner in basilicata), we were told that they did not. to vein?! They sell them at every corner of the streets. however recommended: you eat well in a pleasant environment. correct prices."

If you happen to be in Venosa for a visit at the archeological sites I rammendo you to stop for a meal at this restaurant: it’s modernly decorated and the service is very attentive. I couldn’t decide what plates to order because all looked yummy in the menu. Finally I’ve decided for grilled octopus and creamy cheese spaghetti, both delicious. Reasonable prices

I had the pleasure of having dinner at the baliage venoso restaurant. the place can not be called typical rather is modern, minimal and elegant. table saw was excellent. I tried two really good dishes that surprised me not only for the presentation, but also for their goodness and combination of flavors: the Lucan ciambotta and pork cheek. all accompanied by an aglianico and an account with an excellent value for money. recommended! the structure with large stone vaults is really beautiful. I stopped for a business lunch with a colleague, I must say we ate well. the local tradition and the products of the Lucan land, here they are revisited in dishes and really original combinations with choreographical embellishments. excellent choice of wines of the area. staff was also very professional. the only thing I didn't like (but it's a matter of gouits) is the very cold decor.

we had dinner in this beautiful restaurant served by a very short and professionally prepared maid. very modern structure with white walls and furnishings, perhaps a little too strong lighting. there are two rooms at two different levels both comfortable. the kitchen is of the territory with national infiltration and some interesting revisitations, as for the classic soup of fava and chicory: excellent! very carefully furnished winery that produces excellent roses. first and second of good bill, less sweets. the account is appropriate.

"restaurant pretty expensive. I can understand that “they have to get up” after the emergency covid and the problems that unfortunately we have all been through, but to charge a bottle of coke cola 6 euro I consider it a theft. but let's go on: we call the way, and they tell us that a 12 table is not there but they can fix us 6 out and 6 in the room, and the solution is fine. after a 30 minutes we arrive at the restaurant, we enter and see various outdoor tables free, we ask to stay all 12 together but the owner denies us the pleasure of staying together with our children. We continue: we ask the manu, the owner comes to the table and lists the available courses (poor for a restaurant of such rank,) praying not to take too different dishes, so in my table from 6 we take 4 small ears with sausage and 2 cavatelli “to the seafood”, and as according only 3 dishes of meat to the grill. I do not express myself on the ears because I did not taste them, and not even on the goodness of the dish to the seafood (they cook so and I do not like them, so it could be a subjective opinion,) but objectively to call a dish “caves to the seafood “ when inside I find a clam, a few pieces of calamarus and two shrimps, it seems abomination! The meat was good, I only tasted a piece and it wasn't bad. DOC wine: Aglianico del vulture, price doubled compared to the average, but there is because it is a restaurant (but they should have a written menu or an online download menu, just to prevent customers from finding a bad and appetizing surprise at the time of the account).
