Disappointed with the set menu in terms of quality and quantity. Expensive meal that was probably worth no more than 50% of what we paid.

What a lovely surprise food very good value and setting is beautiful. I would agree with the comment on the wine glasses..... go buy some nice red wine glasses :

We made a last minute booking after a long day at Legoland. The food was lovely with a varied choice and a separate children's menu. The service was spot on, not obtrusive or lacking. A very pleasant experience. We'll return if we're in the area. Voir le carte

We had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch with our family. They offered a good roast option as well as a vegetarian option. The menu was not extensive, but I liked that as it indicates that the food is more likely to be made fresh. We will definitely be returning.

Such a disappointment. Booked for Sunday lunch, family of four, special occasion. The hotel had a large function and didn't have enough staff to cover the dining room, as a result service as very slow. When the food did arrive it was cold and the waitress knocked a glass of red wine all over my son. Will not return.

The food and service were good, but unfortunately there was a wedding happening at the restaurant. At one point, the doors were left open and we were disturbed by loud Scottish reel music and the noise of dishes being cleared. They began clearing tables around us while we were still eating, which was not conducive to a cozy dining experience. Voir le carte

Would not recommend. Spent 2 nights here for special occasion Rooms are fusty and smell. Service for breakfast incredibly slow and had to keep asking. We had Sunday lunch and waited 35 mins before someone appeared to take our order and then when they did appear they went to another table to people who came in long after us. The food wasn't cooked properly and was cold Staff members had no knowledge. Most spoke very little English and had no knowledge of local area Looks good on website but would give it a miss

The Fork does not fit well with the rest of the hotel and the hotel would benefit from a more up market restaurant, with The Fork being a bistro for more informal dining and snacks. The menu was uninspired and the staff, whilst sweet, were not always 'on the ball '. There was only one wine menu for the entire restaurant, which got passed around, resulting in a waiting time for the wine to arrive, which was not always before the main meal for some. The waiters didn 't seem to have been working at The Fork for very long and gave the impression that they were still learning and waiting for instruction from the manager. This was our 2011 wedding venue and we decided to revisit some old memories as the food that day was excellent with great service and a pleasant atmosphere. We arrived on Saturday to a restaurant full of families with small children. The food and service was still excellent, apart from one wrong dish that was rectified quickly, and we were treated to a complimentary glass of prosecco to celebrate our return. My wife had the pork belly and I had the chicken with chorizo salad, both full of flavour and cooked perfectly.
