"after we have observed the previous owners and after that the long time of renovation, we have now been the first time in the eck a few days ago and must say we were surprised! the reception was super friendly, the eating was good and the ambiente for a snack (although you can't say anything more at all) very nice and decorated with love! at the time we discovered the breakfast for us. you get different variations from the small to the big breakfast, lovingly executed and that already from 6:00 o'clock! and therefore I say again and again when you do something with love and then what can it be successful, that was not so with the predecessors!"

we were once again in the esseck with our family and, once again totally convinced of eating, the ambiente and the nice owners. it's really a good idea. tasty food for really small price. it makes fun to be there.

really very nice owners. restaurant is nicely furnished. everything is freshly prepared. the quality is good. schnitzel are ok, but relatiw expensive as we find. currywurst and pommes are recommended. We have not yet tried lunchtime, but we will still do definitiw.

We got one of the last two tables on a Wednesday evening- we were surprised at how busy this place was! But when we experienced the friendliness of the staff, the good food and service and great prices we understood the appeal this place has. Well worth the visit if you are near.

I was the first time there today and it was as expected very delicious. the burger was powerful and super tasteful. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right and the owners have made it very cozy. around a successful snack better said a snack with restaurant quality. keep going! Voir le carte

the best snack in the wuppertaler east: the burgers and spies are highly recommended. the quality of the dishes is very high for a snack. the portions are very large for the price. the owners are always very friendly and accommodating. the interior, is very nicely designed. because it is often full here, a reservation cannot hurt at the main times. we have been there several times and have never been disappointed.

Staying by accident at Ibis Budget I have not much choice where to go for dinner. At entrance I was pleased by very friendly staff and nice decor in this restaurant. Order some beer and steak. Beer comes fast, but food not so that 's no problem. Some kind of problem was so I like steaks rather rare **** but receive it well done. Didn 't complain as meat was testy any way and ads was good as well. Final beer however was been served after some waiting as well. That 's why the review is not for five :

we were in the esseck for the first time before a few weeks and were totally enthusiastic about eating, eating and especially the owners. after a champagne reception we took place. the owner accepted the drinks, then eating. in front of the door was even a small smoker area. by the number of my guests we had the restaurant almost completely for us.The eating was fantastic, the nice service genuine top class. all my guests were totally thrilled.We can only recommend this and look forward to our next visit. When you get in the door, you hardly believe what is hidden behind the façade. here is everything new and glittering. you will receive very friendly and have the choice to sit between few bistrotic and appealingly decorated tables with chairs. the map offers pizza, burger, spits, carving, noodles, currywurst, as well as salads.All is made fresh with good ingredients. that goes fast, in the meantime you can enjoy a freshly tapped beer, a wee or alcohol-free. everything also for takeaway.Have rarely eaten so well in a grill snack, rarely had such an ambiente - just uncompromisingly delicious and good. very recommended!

I visited this wonderful restaurant twice this week, the first day I had THE best New York burger I have EVER tasted, and the second time I had the rump steak. Wow! Freshly cooked, and PLENTY of it. The salad with it was delicious and so much of it. Not the token lettuce but a proper salad! Just gorgeous! The meat in both meals was cooked to perfection, the service from Nirvana ? was excellent also. I really liked the American owner guy, very welcoming and a terrific Chef!! The Ess Eck has a good selection of wine also. A real jewel in Wuppertal, highly recommended for its location, friendly staff and wonderful food.

"If a family has been leading an Italian Sicilian restaurant for 40 years without interruption in a German city, you can talk about a tradition of Italian Sicilians. Forty years at the same location, vis a vis of the Wuppertal swimming pool and not even an ideal location, about 1.5 kilometres from the city. We haven't been here for a long time, of course it's not 40 years ago, but two or three years. We entered. Just like before, always full. The atmosphere has changed to the advantage. No more South-European tourists Kitsch, more puristic and therefore contemporary. A friendly restaurant chef greeted us. That he wore a very chic short black pants (until the knee, surprised us first, but didn't bother us. His figure allowed to wear this designer piece in the German summer. He accompanied us to our nice 2 he table in a side room of the restaurant 's. They used to say Separee. In the Separee there were two more table, plus and above all more to the guests there later. The table was nicely covered, including flowers and an LED light cube. Just taken place a pretty, black-haired female operation appeared and handed us the cards. The offer made a careful impression. Of course, pasta, also pizzas, but also various beef fillets and something from the sea. There is also a daily map. The description of the dishes went beyond the standard Italian Sicilians. Everything seemed very creative. Either the Ragazzi in the kitchen understood their craft or they could sell themselves well. We ordered the drinks that were served immediately. In the meantime we had made our choice. Two times the Antipasto Taormina (12, Euro a Person , Filetto de Manzo (Rinderfilet mit Stein Pilz, 29, Euro und die Gamberoni a la Taormina (Riesengarnelen mit Parmaschinken, 26, Euro). While we felt a bit loud when entering the restaurant, it was in the Separee (but much quieter). The pretty blacks appeared quickly back at the table and served black olives with a chillie pod and some bread. In fact, only ETWAS bread. If you cut a small slice of light bread into four parts, then the ETWAS gives bread. That didn't bother me. Olives are not my case, but will be consumed by Hasimausi. And pure bread without a dip, no thanks. My view migrated to the two neighboring tables. Well, Dolci from the country that had to experience 64 governments since the end of World War II in 72 years has never been my case, just too sweet to me. And that's where my suggestion is to improve the Ristorante Taormina. Why is there no cheese dessert listed on the map? Formaggio from Berlusconi, Fiat Ferrari and Eros with Ramazotti is a top class, especially since the buffalo mozarella on the appetizer already convinced. Well, I could have asked for the Formaggio, but I didn't. Instead, we restricted ourselves to Grappa Espresso. What else was noticed: On the map of the Ristorante Taormina the ignorant guest is explained exactly what the different cooking levels for steaks (Rare, Medium Rare, Medium, Medium Well and Well Done mean. Certainly there are still eaters who don't know that exactly. What we found very funny, however, was the explanation for Well Done: WELL DONE is completely fried.
