"On my first visit to Wrexham, I stopped for lunch at the Wynnstay Arms. The staff were clear on the ordering process, with drinks and food selection placed at the bar, making it partly self-service. After waiting for 15 to 20 minutes, our starters of wings, ribs, and mushroom soup arrived. The soup was lukewarm and lacked flavor, and the bread roll was hard and almost stale. The ribs were decent, but it seemed like the soup had been sitting for a while. However, my 8 oz rump steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare as requested. My wife's jacket potato, tuna, and salad were satisfactory. We paired our dishes with a glass of Chilean merlot and a tonic water. Overall, the experience was somewhat disappointing with a mix of results. The delays in the food seemed to come from the kitchen. The restaurant had about 7 occupied tables, but not all were being served food. Despite the comfortable seating at a window table, our final impression was not the best."
