"We recently went for afternoon tea at this restaurant with a group of 8 people. We were served a platter with 10 small sandwiches, followed by another platter with 6 small sandwiches, which caused confusion and chaos. The tables were not properly set with crockery, only having a plate with jam and butter. We had to wait a long time for cups and saucers, and even longer for spoons. Some of us received a pot of tea while others received a pot of water, leading to further delays. We were disappointed to find that the only sandwich options available were tuna and ham, with no alternatives. When we requested egg sandwiches, we had to wait an additional 12 minutes. In total, we were served 3 small sandwiches, 1 cake, and 1 scone, which we felt was poor value for money. The seating arrangement was cramped against a wall, and overall, we had a negative experience. Despite the friendly demeanor of the staff, particularly the girls serving us, we felt that the manager was not up to par and would not recommend this venue to others. We will not be returning in the future."
