"I had read the reviews on TripAdvisor and cabbed over to this restaurant from a hotel near the Bahnhof as it was a comparably hot day in Ulm and I didn't want to chance the Stadt-Bahns. We had called ahead for a reservation and got a nice table. The service was extremely friendly with unmatchable ambiance as it’s one of very few air-conditioned restaurants in Germany. We were served crispy Pappads with different types of sauces before our lunch arrived. Our cab driver mentioned it was a hidden gem of a restaurant in Ulm that is mainly known by locals, so if visiting, make a reservation and enjoy the excellent food and service in a relaxed location. It is not so far from the Bahnhof, but much quieter in comparison, extra-ordinary food and far less expensive."

"Zwei Pizzen zur Abholung bestellt. Laut Webseite 10,90 für die Caprese und 13,50 für die Calabres. Abholung um 21:15. Sie waren schon um 21:05 fertig und nicht warmgehalten. Caprese wurde mit 14,50 und Calabrese mit 15,50 verrechnet, zusätzlich erscheint auf der Rechnung ein Posten von 7€ für “offene Pizza”. Die Pizza war ok aber 37€ für zwei selbst abgeholte Pizzen ist nicht ok, vor allem da der Preis so nicht auf der Webseite steht."

Eine absolute Frechheit Gäste so zu behandeln, normalerweise würde ich 0 Punkte vergeben, wenn ich es könnte..."

"On recommendation we tried this restaurant on weekends. Idyllically located in the heart of the Swabian Alb, this restaurant is a rather crowning conclusion for a day trip. The facility is modern, but still cozy. We had reserved, that was also necessary because this day was a big festival. The menu changes regularly and offers something for every taste. From Swabian classics to extensive dishes. We chose rust roasts with self-made tips, mules and a side salad. In addition, veal fillet with fresh seedlings and vegetables and a calfed steak with cream sauce and late zle. All dishes were cooked to the point, very tasty and beautifully dressed. The salads were fresh and dressed with delicious dressing. The absolute highlight were the dessert plates that looked like small works of art and tasted fantastic. Whether self-made nougat or almond ice cream, or also the cream brûlee of each dessert was a dream. The service is consistently attentive and extremely courteous. "Den ersten Gastronomiebesuch nach 16 Monaten Corona Pandemie hatte ich mir anders vorgestellt. Vor Ort eine Pizza zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Obwohl alle Gäste coronabedingt draußen saßen und ich drinnen bestellte, nahm mich der Wirt zuerst überhaupt nicht wahr. Weder mein deutscher noch mein italienischer Gruß wurde erwidert. Auf die Pizza wartete ich sensationelle 45 Minuten, und schon beim Weggehen kam es mir vor, dass der Karton nicht sehr heiß schien. 5 min später wollte ich mit dem Essen beginnen: die Pizza war weniger als lauwarm : Zum Glück habe ich einen kleinen Toastgrill, in dem ich alles nochmal aufwärmte. Der Geschmack und die Fülle des Belags war positiv, ich war fast versöhnt, aber am nächsten Morgen hatte ich sorry, man will es nicht wissen... gleich viermal Stuhlgang. Schade. Ich kaufe häufig im benachbarten E Center ein und dachte, vielleicht etwas Schönes ganz in der Nähe gefunden zu haben. Aber das war mein erster und letzter Besuch."

"we were looking forward to the evening at the boiling point and went there with a friend. first impression, great ambiente, then the waiters are somewhat irritating and patterning mute in front of the inside door of the restaurant. we say to a waiter our name and that we have reserved and then it disappears into the restaurant without saying a ton or talking to us.We are somewhat irritated further in the entrance area and the next service power comes then and tells us that we only get a table with reservation, what we say again, that we have reserved and are finally brought to our table.When we wait for the cards, we will ask a creper but there are still no cards, or our ordered water, but an amuse on a large non-shaped stone, which was very difficult to eat. the three service powers seem heillos overwhelmed, one keeps the tablet and two clear on it, but still no water or broth for us... after the third note this came to us and then also the cards. the service was so inattentive that we often had to refresh the water ourselves, no problem, but not in this price category.The service personnel were arogant and declining from above, please use the cutlery from outside to inside! if we did not know that we would not go into such a local. the service personnel included the table with white gloves, but that doesn't matter if this cutlery has already been sewn with fingerabridges and has not been properly polished.We chose all the complete 6-course menu without any changes and with the whispering, as we thought it was good - but it wasn't like that! there were 5 white wines and a rose wine that didn't fit to the entrances. no red wine, there was also nothing to say, no explanation to the weeping etc. and it was embarrassed to take care of the sinking that is not too much landed in the glass. 48 euro per person, here you can expect something. Eating was well-designed and very ambitious. the kitchen wants to reach a Michelin star, the size of the portions would be already on the level, but a french for 82 eurpo per person! the passages were from unhurried to overwhelmed everything, but no constancy. my conclusion, once and never again, we have eaten and drank four (a driver who only drank water) for 530 euro and would then prefer to have driven through the car switch of a well-known burger chain."

"this restaurant is beautiful to sit with the old restored furniture, bright interieur and the post and beam structure. we were and had the thorny roasts, beechles and twice the Croatian plate. Although the thorny roast medium was ordered, it was quite dry and full...cooked the best feature of the Croatian platter was the delicious rice with vegetables in tomato sauce, the cevapcici were dry and tasted very like mutton and the spits was bland and dry. the beechles were delicious, but the part was very small and the few roasted bevelling on the top were quite disapointing."

"Wir waren mit insgesamt sechs Personen beim Essen im bi braud. Wir wurden freundlich vom Service empfangen. Zunächst bekamen wir für alle sechs eine handgeschriebene Karte. Für sechs Personen ist das zu wenig, da dauert es ewig bis man gewählt hat.das Format der Speisekarte war ca A5. Das ist zu klein. Dementsprechend schlecht leserlich war auch die Karte. Es gab ein Menü aus dem man jeweils aus 2 Varianten wählen konnte. Es sind nur einige wenige Weine auf der Karte vorhanden. Den Rest muss man sich vom Service empfehlen lassen.Ein insgesamt eher modernes Konzept, das sicherlich nicht jeden glücklich macht.Da hätte ich mir doch eine Weinkarte gewünscht.Der Service war freundlich und soweit ok. Das Essen war modern angerichtet und auch geschmacklich gut abgestimmt.Wir hatten sanft gegarten Lachs auf Erbsenpüree bestellt.Der Lachs war leider nicht sanft gegart sondern hatte ein braune Kruste. Geschmacklich gut, aber leider zu weit durchgegart.Das Erbsenpüree musste man wirklich suchen. Von der Menge war es ungefähr ein Teelöffel als Spiegel auf den Teller gezogen. Der Lachs lag auf einem Chutney mit ein paar Fruchtwürfelchen.Was für einen Zwischengang in Ordnung wäre, ist als Haupgang definitiv zu wenig. Der Fleischgang, (Kalbsrücken) war von der Menge her ebenso gestaltet. Auch hier musste man die Beilage (3-4 Spargelköpfe) suchen.Das Essen war gut, jedoch weit entfernt so hervorragend zu sein, das man die eben genannten Nachteile in Kauf nehmen kann.Fazit:- Essen gut- Portionen zu klein (alle Personen am Tisch waren nach dem Essen noch hungrig)- Der Preis war für das Gebotene zu hoch.- keine Weinkarte- Die angeblich korrespondierenden Weine waren suboptimal gewählt.- Für das Preisniveau könnten die Tische etwas hochwertiger eingedeckt sein.Wir waren uns am Tisch einig das wir hier nicht mehr essen werden."

"Wir waren im ANIMO! an einem Sonntag zum Brunchen und man muss sagen es ist zu Recht das beste Frühstückscafé Ulms. Service: Der Service ist mega nett und schnell, sowie sehr aufmerksam. Einen so guten Service wie im Animo gibt es leider nur noch selten... Essen: Wir hatten die Frühstücksétagère, zusätzlich Rührei und Pancakes. Es war alles total lecker. Die verschiedenen selbst gemachten Aufstriche waren sehr gut und das Rührei und die Pancakes ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen. Qualität und Aussehen top! Man merkt, dass hier mit viel Liebe gekocht/angerichtet wird. Getränke: Beim Kaffee/Latte Macchiato gibt es selbstverständlich eine Alternative mit Hafermilch : Zum Prosecco hatten wir einen selbst gemachten Quittensirup sehr lecker! Besonders schön ist auch das selbst hergestellte Geschirr jedes Stück ein Unikat. Die Einrichtung im Café ist sehr gelungen und gemütlich eine tolle Wohnzimmeratmosphäre. Wer also einen leckeren Brunch mit tollem Service in einem schönen und gemütlichen Café sucht, der ist hier goldrichtig! Am besten reserviert man zeitig, da das Animo zu Recht sehr beliebt ist :"
