"unfortunately the service was really not good. we were sitting half an hour before empty glasses, it was looked over us. we would have liked to have taken another dessert or a digestiv, but since nobody took care of it, we left it. there were not many guests in the bistro, the two services have almost stopped in the kitchen or stay in the bistro with each other. "we tried this evening the first time the butcherei auf keitum, I have been in a mood since rd. 35 years on the island and was never there. the menu promised homemade burgers and accordingly we ordered two.The result unfortunately did not look after it. the first two burgers were still raw inside, which is why we read them. kindly and without expecting this we received two new burgers. However, the very firm consistency did not read on homemade, but rather close deep frozen, which is why I also think only about 2/3 ass. on demand of the service I then expressed my critique friendly but with full conviction that these burgers are not fresh but frozen. as a metzgersohn, I know too well in this metier and have already seen many good and bad games. the service wanted to address this in the kitchen. We were offered as compensation an espresso or digestif, but the question "homemade or frozen" was kept dead, for us commented enough that we were right about our judgment. so if the burgers are not served, what is on the menu, how is it about us beef or australian beef?. at least we are seriously disappointed by the butchery and will no longer go."

"we were there for a nice dinner and we had a wonderful evening with a series of great tapas! the restaurant looks like a small bodega, the service was very attentive, fast and nice! we had a series of different tapas like calamaris, olive, cheese, chickensticks etc. all were very delicious. I'll be back at the next Sylt visit!"

"after having a table order, a nice evening with delicious food experienced.A great service in which the chef brings in.Recommendation of the day with homemade white bread with economical advance. then there was a spit with pork fillet with swung kartoffels and salat. also scampi, octopus and calamari with pell potatoes and tasty mixed vegetables a delicious dip. a beautiful evening that was all around good. we like to come back."

"we are actually huge fans from american bistro. since last week, however, we have been disappointed! normally, the bistro is designed to come on a Thursday of course most because of the spare rips satt. So we have clocked our cinema visit for later time (thought we) good. there was a service power for three six groups and the rest of the guests. the one 6 had to wait 20 minutes for the drinks. we waited half an hour for the ripening and then ordered one beforehand during eating. Unfortunately, these came only 40 minutes later so that we have reordered them. we asked the service during the pay if this is not a bit much for one alone: her snippy answer was: you have been sweet since then, comes to the spare rips satt and have only 90 minutes time! sorry, I didn't want to eat until vomiting, but just get fed up. we have never gone hungry from the bistro!"

"After a pleasant visit several years ago, went back with a party of 10. Boy, what a disappointment. Nice ambiance, with kids welcome.But: Service was way below our expectations ("if you don't need the chair, you can bring it outside"), and that was only the start.Despite prices roughly in line with what one expect on this island, the food appeared to us as cheap and prepared in a rush. Pork tenderloin was raw inside, 'sauce' seemed to be melted budget gorgonzola without any other ingredients, and so on. Nice selection of wines, although not the cheapest (Ca' dei frati Lugana 2014 was >40€). We will not be back."

"this conclusion refers to a total of 3 visits, so the chance for improvement was quite there. Before I must say that the quality of the food is very good, the creativity in the preparation is exceptional and the concept I find appealing. "During the day trip to Sylt we were back in Westerland this year and at noon the question was asked what we should eat. We were seven people and in some places it can be narrow. First we wanted to eat Blum fish, but it was full and we did not find any place. So we stood there and there were some for the Munich Hahn, who is not yet at my place after the visits. Yeah, but everyone deserves a second chance. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were looking for a big table outside any welcome. With Ach and Krach we had the whole room, the largest table was unfortunately already occupied. Then a waiter came by with a short Hello and the hint that he would come to us right away. It took a few minutes, then he took the drinks without participation and gave us the menus. For the children there was a separate children's menu for coloring, the pens came immediately – finally! Then the drinks soon came, but he didn't take our food and he comforted us again, he'll be there! One has to say that the place was half filled and 3 waiters are sleeping, so it can not have been stressful – actually. After about 10 minutes the Lord came back to us, we wanted to go, especially he took orders from people from other tables that came to us. Our mood was at least what we gave him to understand. We've been there before, so we ordered it. For me there was a 08/15 chipped carving with pommes. Well, what should I say it wasn't grottenschlecht, but sweet and kind of sad what was on the plate. The carving itself was as good as possible, in one place the meat was quite fibrous. The Pommes were average. It's a pity that it wasn't even asked if you want ketchup or a sauce, so I took the carving with pommes dry to me. I also know you get an appetizer salad in a good restaurant – now somewhere else. As a rule, the share was only small and not appropriate at the price. Half of my wife's chicken was much more interesting with 2 supplements. If you order this large salad extra, which is explained as “small, colorful salad”, you can leave incredible 4.90 euros. When I saw what was served there, I really had to hold back that I don't get a cramp with occasional Latin stacks! That was the joke! After all, half of the chicken was obviously good. For the children there were chicken fillet with late zle and sauce. The meat was good, the rest was uniform. To the rest of the place I had already said everything in the other reviews. For me, it is only obvious that this shed will no longer see me – especially through the very miserable service and the average food."

"the choice was great and no Italian court missed. So there was all that should be done with an Italian. I had a tomato cream soup and a pizza margherita. both was very tasty and I was satisfied. the others had fish, lasagne, bruschetta and caprese. everything has been super tasted. the food also came fast and the service was very friendly and helpful. he also worked quickly and was attentive. the ambiente was also beautiful. in the front room at the theke it was a bit dark but we sat in a large next room. there were large windows and because it was warm the door was opened. the ambiente so very pleasant. the price was also very good. I find it more cheap in relation to other Italians and you got very good food and you also noticed that it was fresh. I can therefore recommend the restaurant very much.z"

"this local offers a mix of sporty, breakfast café and bistro. besides a large offer of sandwiches, croissants, cake and baked specialties are served cold and hot drinks but also bistro-typical almost food a la carte such as flame-cake, currywurst or fries. the warm food is freshly prepared, it takes its time, so whoever waits for a train must either come sooner or only drink a capucchino. we have been taking complete meals for about 5 years in our sylt vacations, these are still in good condition after 20 minutes drive in the apartment. spices, fat content, browning etc. of supplements and meat are perfect. at our visit there has never been anything to complain about. on request you can also deviate from the map, also semmeln are occupied according to gusto. many guests (especially those without money) use the space as a warm room. so many tables are often occupied over hours without much consumption. the ambiente is characterized in rather dark, slightly Italian style. with lots of wood optics and pleasant lighting. However: in general, the train station is very loud and hectic, and the ambiente suffers from this. That is why we have been going to have the meal packed in. who puts more worth on seeing and seeing, for whom are also standing tables and chairs in the outdoor area, directly on the glow with the same smell of the loks. you get dripping-proof and re-closable foam packaging and plastic cutlery in the bag. keeps tight and works. a point-down at the service: with the same gloves with which the chocolate croissants were stacked in the glass thresen and recoiled or packaged, also money (nozzles and bills) and putts were touched. we saw this by chance when ordering (was not our food) and should give the personal (mostly unskilled seasonal forces) the strict regulation of system gastronomy once read. the kitchen is sometimes open and is therefore good to see. there it is clean, neat, the chef understands his craft and the result is appealing. also the chef looks over frequently, acts quietly and explains a lot. this is important because it is very difficult to get in the moment of shock (morning, when many commuters break up, who drive from the island) and at the time of the holiday retreats. then the waiting time takes 15 or 20 minutes as mentioned. yet incomprehensible that the thing with the putzlapp, which also wandered from one hand to the other, was not noticed. the price-performance ratio is in order, sylttypical, i.e. for two people double-digit in the middle range, that we give to consider, but for a restaurant in the railway station quite appropriate. football shows on sky are free for guests. "Gut gelaunt betraten wir als offenbar erste Gäste des Morgens gegen 11:00 die Strandmuschel. Wollten ein kleines, spätes Frühstück zu uns nehmen. Nicht unfreundlich, aber eher unwillig, wurden wir über die Bestandteile des Frühstücks aufgeklärt. Ein Heißgetränk "...bitte am Tisch bestellen ", Croissants "...dauert aber, werden a'la carte zubereitet", Nutella, Marmelade und Butter. Ok, also zu einem Tisch und das Heißgetränk bestellt....und dann warten.....warten....warten! Die Getränke waren dann irgendwann geleert, Erdbeeren als Zwischengang geordert und gegessen, ein Wasser hinterher.....und täterätä: nach 30 Minuten war das kleine Frühstück auch schon da Waren immerhin frisch aufgebacken (Knack und Back?), aber in der Zeit haben andere ja schon ganze Menüs gekocht! Also mein Vorschlag: lieber ein frisches Brötchen beim Bäcker kaufen....dann ginge es auch in 10 Minutenvielleicht preiswerter! Nun ja, insgesamt keine Empfehlung für ein größeres Essen, geschweige denn ein kleines süßes Frühstück:("

"on 18.4.2017, due to a recommendation of women silke of bremen (the ingenious guides on sylt makes ) we visited the chickhouse. the restaurant is one of the established facilities on the island.In the building everything is lovingly and well-kept and decorated (the eye is with ).the service leaves no wish open, attentive and listening to the guests are implemented.We had as an appetizer chicks in homemade crimped butter with delicious brot. after that we have glowed ourselves with morsumer bratkartoffeln and salat. the weinberatung we felt sensitive and accurate for our taste expectation. everything in all we can definitely recommend the snail house.Dr. marlie Pirkl-Nolte"

"It's a nice place the sunset is the best in Westerland; but the service is horrible. We had made a reservation for 20:00 and were told they couldn't find it when we arrived; we should wait two minutes. Then we were sent to the worst table in the restaurant which obviously was the only empty table on the patio all the way in the back where a speaker was blasting in your ears. We said sorry no thanks. They gave us then 5mins later another table which was very nice. We then ordered 2 Weizen beer waited 20mins for a beer then the waiter told us sorry the Zapfhahn is down so we need to orders something else. We then opted for a normal beer and a Schorle; 15 mins past and my Schorle came but no beer for my partner. We waited another 20-30 mins before he got his beer after asking 3 waiters/waitresses about it. We then decided not take a starter because it would probably take too long. Our meal came 1 hours after ordering.The couple next to us were very upset even waiting much longer then us for their food and she went to the back to find out what was taking so long; she finally cancelled her order due to it not showing up and service kept on saying it's coming and nothing came after almost 1.5hours of arriving there!! It's just unacceptable. I rather you tell me sorry we are full and we go else where rather then waste our time and offer customers poor services."

"Selbstbedienungs-Restaurant bei dem man an der Kasse bestellt und über einen Pager informiert wird, wann sein Essen fertig ist. Die Getränke werden allerdings an den Tisch gebracht, das war aber auch schon das positive über den Service. Anscheinend gibt es verschiedene Buns/Brötchen, wie an meinem Nachbartisch zu sehen. Gefragt wurde ich an der Kasse nicht, welches ich bevorzuge. Der Chili – Cheeseburger, der in der Karte als ‚scharf‘ gekennzeichnet ist, ist meilenweit weg von scharf die von mir dazu geordnete Chili Cheese Sauce ebenfalls würzig vielleicht, aber nicht im Ansatz scharf. In Küchennähe ist leider der Geruch aus der Küche enorm zu merken. Wenn man dann im vorderen Bereich sitzt, und das Personal die Eingangstür für ein paar Minuten aufmacht, ist das bei 10 °C Außentemperatur auch eher semi-optimal. Der Burger selbst war geschmacklich in Ordnung, das Burger-Brötchen war mir persönlich leider zu weich und lauwarm. Auch die Pommes waren alles andere als heiß. Wenn man dann, mit knapp 25€ weniger in der Tasche, den Laden verlässt, denke ich mir: das habe ich für den Preis schon deutlich besser bekommen."

"I would like to mention that eating was good, but the whole visit was extremely disappointing.We arrived shortly before the big evening storm. a table with two places was free, and we could quickly order the desired dishes. we chose humus as starter, the little salmon trout and I one of the daily dishes. we waited over 50 minutes before we first asked. immediately next to us, a table with a group arrived after us was already supplied with the orders we had ordered. that inevitably triggers unmistakable. the starter was finally delivered with the main courses, which is for a few slices of brot and humus in no way comprehensible.The quality of the salmon with the noodles was not appropriate to the price(low chill fillet, fry, deep cooler bses, finished tomato sauce with sawne). the salmon trout was very good.In the connection we asked immediately after the bill and had to beg for another 15 minutes to pay. all in all, a visit is not recommended. there are much better places on the island."

"it was really a very nice experience. we had said that we were coming with children, the table in the corner was perfectly selected for it. the ambiente is really tastefully matched to the location, everything looks fresh and friendly. the lighting is well chosen and an additional, cozy hingucker. the service was, even though thinned out here and safely stressed in the end of the year by double occupancy, very friendly, fast and from the stress was hardly noticeable. for a beach bistro was eating above average, a nice selection, nicely dressed and handcrafted well made. we had thai garnel salat and thunfischtatar, both really tasty, no staring, but you don't expect that. the kids had real! wiener schnitzel, who were delicious, the pommes fresh and when the ketchup fits, you can eat everything; . main dishes like carving and roasted pulpo also faultless, supplements suitable, all well tasted, we were satisfied. and the dessert, liquid chocolate cake with vanilleeis runs outside the evaluation, that is fishing for compliments. a word to the wine card: sylt and wein is difficult from every perspective. the map in the taatjem deel is ambitious and tries to cover a large spectrum. Unfortunately, it seems to me a little too much adapted to the needs of the special public on sylt and the prices on the card do not grow very congruently to the quality of the wee exponentially. I lack a bit the “work animals”, qualitatiw high quality weine between 30 45 euro wk, of which Germany would have to offer so many. Instead we land quickly in the price segment over 100, euro. as said, for sylt okay, but there’s always more to vine... we were happy, enjoyed the evening and felt us as guests. many thanks to the team, we are happy to come back!"
