"Wednesday evening 23rd November we were spending the evening in Camberley. After a walkabout we decided we would have dinner, so we made a reservation for later in the evening. From the street the exterior of the building was rather enchanting with is old wooden door and square window frames. Through the window we could see a gas fire blazing in a large stone fire place. Definitely has character. On arrival, at our booked time, we were shown to our table, we were informed that it was by a radiator, just as well as it was a bit chilly. We were given the drinks and food menus. Once we had decided we ordered a Thai Green Curry, chicken and a Weeping Tiger beef, rice was included with the meal. The two meals are favorites so were looking forward to them. We also ordered 2 large bottles of Tiger beer. While we waited for our food to be served we took the opportunity to look about at the decor and the Thai ornaments about the restaurant. Some of wooden beams and panels were original, the rest was mismatched and not so old. When our food was served it did not look anything special. The Weeping Tiger, normally is served sizzling, here it was sliced bits of virtually raw beef, it was inedible. Spoke to the waitress who took the dish away. It did return a few minutes later, obviously been recooked , it was as tough as old boots and remained mostly uneaten. The waitress was most apologetic. The curry was not the best we ever had, it was packed with big lumps of bitter aubergine and very little chicken. While we finished our beers we chatted with our waitress, Jasmina a delightful young lady. The gents toilet was rathet grim, the urinal was in need of a good clean, the hand dryer was broken and there was a hole in roof where the beams were rotting due to water ingress. The Curry was £11.00, beef was £14.95 and two beers were £10.50 so total bill was £36.45, not really worth it."
