"We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant, with excellent service and delectable food. The dishes were presented beautifully with great care. For appetizers, we enjoyed prawn toasts, duck pancakes, and spring rolls. Our main courses included Thai green chicken curry, chicken with chili and basil, crispy fried fish, and stir-fried prawns with vegetables, served with egg fried rice and noodles. Every dish was flavorful and delightful. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Kew."

"Our group of 5 visited Cafe Venice for the first time after attending an England rugby match at Twickenham Stadium. It's a 20-minute walk from there, so not much different than a venue in Twickenham town center. I made a telephone booking about 10 days before our visit and clarified that on rugby days, they offer a restricted menu at lunchtime but a full menu in the evenings. Note that there is a good specials menu in addition to the extensive menu on the website. We had booked for 6:30 pm, and the restaurant was busy with many other customers who had also been to the rugby match. We received a warm welcome, and the service throughout was friendly and efficient. For starters, we had dough balls, mushrooms, mussels, calamari, and whitebait. For mains, we had carbonara, calzone, and sea bass fillets, all served with salad or chips. The portions were generous and very tasty, and the food and wine were reasonably priced. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Cafe Venice and will definitely be returning."

"Went there today for a friends birthday lunch. What a fabulous place which is hidden away from the busy Kew Village. I ordered the salt beef sandwich but they did not have enough beef left for a whole sandwich so Omar made me half a salt beef and half a goats cheese and rocket. Both halves were so good I could not decided which was the best. The flower arrangements are also great here to order and deliver locally. So lovely today, I have booked for at least 6 of us to go for a wreath making class and no doubt will end up having lunch there too."

"What a **** awful experience. Popped in at about 11:40 for some Saturday Brunch. Was seated inside at the cleaner of the tables that there were. Most were streaked with food and crumbs and apparently had been like it a while. The server came across and gave the table a quick spray and wipe which got about 60% of the surface cleaner but missed a lot of crumbs and ketchup. I’ve never seen the like of it slapdash and useless. Was then presented with a grubby menu which actually, seemed quite appetising and came to a decision. At this point the sever came over to explain the kitchen was closed which came as a bit of a surprise for a brunch place and clearly other folk who overheard were also as surprised. Overall filthy place staff also could have done with cleaning up their aprons and being a bit less unkempt. Manners would have helped and even am apology about the confusion around kitchen being open or not. Looking back I think I dodged a bullet as probably a place that needs a visit from the health inspectors."

"An old style pub with low ceilings, a proper bar, with a good selection of Ales and modern beers. Simple tables in one bar and more fancy ones in the larger bar. Still has some old charm about it, even though they have decorated it. NO gamble machines, or loud music. It was busy but not over busy, the food was pub like but good, with all food freshly made to order and proper good. Its is not classy or a place for cuddly romantic couples, but good honest stuff. The staff were good, the large Irish landlord was fun and knowledgeable, the barmaid was also fun and helpful, polite, and hard working. The toilets are fine but not big but then neither is the pub. There is some outside seating as well, but no parking so use the roads nearby of which there are plenty. An easy short walk from the station, in fact its in station road, just by a road bridge over the railway. Suitable for all ages, and at present fully COVID capable, which detracts a bit from its charm. A good locals local with a smile for non locals. Well priced."

"Have been here many a time over the years and the service and staff have always been courteous and pleasant. They have a unique take on food also which is their main differentiator and it tastes good too. Suitable for those with kids or just somewhere for a bite to eat. Recommended. "Having not not been in the U.K. thanks to pandemic for 30 months and living in part of the world where pork is a no-no I found this small independent eatery having just been to the opticians. The menu showed full breakfast including GF sausage, smoked bacon, home made baked beans with mint and paprika, poached eggs Sour Dough toast and something I had to Google “Shakshuka” which is a Tunisian side mixed vegetable sauce with just the right mixture of spice. Wow it was amazing."

"Being longtime residents of Richmond, we decided to try out this restaurant on a Saturday morning. Unfortunately, it was a letdown. We ordered a salmon crepe and a vegetarian crepe, both of which were too thin and overly crispy. The ingredients inside were also raw, such as red onions and whole spinach leaves, which was not ideal for a morning meal. The cheese seemed to be of cheap quality, and the accompanying salad was just half a lettuce leaf with a small amount of dressing. The most disappointing part was that we paid £19 for this subpar experience. It's a shame because the restaurant has the potential to be great. We recommend trying a proper galette in Brittany instead."

"Wow, wow, wow! Based just off Richmond high street, this boutique family run Italian deli takes you back to the heart of Sicily with its freshly made pasta's and chunky panini's. Run by a husband and wife, we got talking while looking at the options available and went down to see their kitchen (my family has been in the catering industry for decades) to a laboratory of Italian goodness. Deborah arrives at the shop before most have opened their eyes and creates half a dozen fresh pasta dishes covering different palates on a daily basis.... the definition of taking pride in your work. If some popular dishes are going fast, she even makes them again same day! Some of the dishes on offer the day we visited included: Spicy beef gnocchi (To DIE for) Spaghetti chilli garlic (options of king prawns or escalope's to accompany) Pastticho (Long tubed macaroni with a mix of cheeses and cream as a pasta bake with a bed of mince meat) Black Spaghetti Traditional Bolognese and Pomodoro There is also fresh options for you carnivores! Selections of Italian meats, sausages, salami's etc that can be combined with ciabatta's and mozzarella for a serious Panini.... they are very generous on portion sizes as well! Given it's location this spot is right for any occasion: Dates, quick meals, takeaways to sit in the park etc, it covers all the bases.... oh, and they're one of the few restaurants who don't ask you for your kidney as payment! I use this place as HQ if I am ever visiting Twickenham for an England game, as does ex world cup winner Mr Dallaglio (better than Twickenham hospitality apparently). Couldn't recommend this place highly enough, you will not be disappointed."

"On day 6 of a 7 day all line rover, I had high expectations that this would be one of the highlights of my little self indulgent trip. And it absolutely was. First class comfort, exceptional food and service which you enjoy with the constantly changing scenery effortlessly speeding by. I ordered the smoked haddock and crab salad (a large serving followed by the steak. I have to say I was hesitant about paying an extra £15 for the piece of rump but it was absolutely worth it. The dauphinois and cubed beetroot were delicious. As for the steak, I asked for it to be cooked medium rare, tending to rare. Fairly specific but it was executed to absolute perfection. Very very impressive. The half bottle of Bordeaux Superieur seemed to have a few more glasses than usual which is why I didn 't make it to a glass of port at the end probably the only disappointment of the experience! I rounded the meal off with cheese, as tempting as the bread and butter pudding sounded, but was told that was fairly heavy. It was a good call. The whole experience was top notch and as others have said I will do it again. I have already recommended this to quite a few friends. It would be great doing this with a few friends heck why not even book out the whole dining carriage?! And taking it a step further, why not book a return trip to Cardiff and get back to Paddington in time to take the night sleeper to Penzance (which I had done on the first day of my 7 day rover . Finally, two call outs must go to 1. GWR for operating this service and delivering it so well and 2. the dining team on board. Others have also mentioned this but they helped make the experience . I was served by Mark (apologies if his name ends with a c someone who seems to love his job and that shows very clearly. Absolutely loved it and will be back to do this again with at least 1 other. Thank you GWR (the only thing I would say you need to improve upon is the Paddington lounge on Platform 1 ."

"This cafe has to be the best in Hampton Hill, if not all of the borough of Richmond upon Thames (with the exception of pasta dishes . They do an excellent croque madame topped with a fresh egg, brilliant breakfasts fit for a king and a special make-your-own pizza offer, for only a fiver! If you are to order the make-your-own pizza offer, I would recommend a Florentine pizza, as they crack the egg fresh and order in fresh spinach from local farms (it's the best Florentine pizza I've ever had! . Everything in this cafe is as should be. You get great food, great coffee and great cakes.I would recommend this place to anyone. Even families (if they're behaved ."

"What a find!!!I have had the kippers for breakfast twice here and they are fantastic!!Not allowed to cook them at home because of the smell. The portion size is ridiculously large and was served with grilled tomatoes, wilted spinach and avocado. "Sunday roast... Very good. Beef was tender, Yorkshire big and not too hard. Booked the family group room which was excellent. This is a very popular pub. The garden area was very pleasant. Smallish car park, one disable space suggest pre book. Oh... The waiters...were excellent. All seemed well presented and spoken students. Well done"

"We had a beautiful meal here today. The manager staff were so welcoming and friendly. We had our dogs with us got a fabulous snug with a log burning stove to enjoy our food. The food was delicious and excellent quality. We will definitely be back. The only small niggle was the lack of parking (only around 7 spaces which were filled) so we had to park a fair bit away walk but it was worth it. Keep up the good work !"

"So impressed with the amount and quality of food. I had spaghetti with Basel and Tomato and spaghetti Sicilian. It was beautifully cooked and the sauces were delicious. The portions were above average. We had lemon cake and a sponge cake for dessert which were freshly made and moist. As a side there was a brioche roll with cheese, Pesto and ham, crispy and fabulous. I bought the food through TooGoodToGo and paid £6 for what would have cost £18. Highly recommended for its service and food. The young man serving behind the counter is so friendly and engaging with his customer. Delightful!"

"Two things you never have to search far to find in Teddington coffee and a haircut. Coffee shops abound from the big chains through M and S 's decent little in store cafe to a healthy sprinkling of independents. But of course 'independent ' doesn 't necessarily guarantee quality and having tried most of them over the years there are a few duds in the bunch. The French Tarte however is right up there on the winner 's rostrum. I really like this place. Great coffee, friendly and efficient staff, and a selection, albeit limited, of fresh, tasty snacks the quiche is excellent The place is spotlessly clean. It can get crowded, and when the sun shines directly through the big windows it can feel almost claustrophobic In cold weather it can get draughty if the front door isn 't closed properly (and it isn 't always). So this is why my preference is to stop off mid afternoon and sit at one of the little outside tables enjoying a very tasty brew."
