"Our group of 5 visited Cafe Venice for the first time after attending an England rugby match at Twickenham Stadium. It's a 20-minute walk from there, so not much different than a venue in Twickenham town center. I made a telephone booking about 10 days before our visit and clarified that on rugby days, they offer a restricted menu at lunchtime but a full menu in the evenings. Note that there is a good specials menu in addition to the extensive menu on the website. We had booked for 6:30 pm, and the restaurant was busy with many other customers who had also been to the rugby match. We received a warm welcome, and the service throughout was friendly and efficient. For starters, we had dough balls, mushrooms, mussels, calamari, and whitebait. For mains, we had carbonara, calzone, and sea bass fillets, all served with salad or chips. The portions were generous and very tasty, and the food and wine were reasonably priced. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Cafe Venice and will definitely be returning."

"Monday 27th March. Wanted a nice meal before the theatre and Chose Cote Brasserie. On entering the welcome was kirt and shown to the table. We sat reading menu for some time , had decided and still waited for any interaction from staff. As time was ebbing away I called a member of staff and ordered both drinks and our meal. Drinks came and eventually the starters. Mushrooms on soggy toast. We ate and waited. Other diners who roughly ordered the same time as us were into their mains by this time. We waited until others had finished before I called a member of staff to explain why our food was taking so long, he promptly arrived with our food with no explanation just 2 plates of overcooked and very dry French cottage pie. Our drinks were at this time empty, no staff returned to ask if we wanted more or importantly was everything ok and would we like and condiments. We were loathed to complain as this would have upset our ongoing engagement, but couldn't help noticing staff were asking other diners if they wanted more drinks, and the couple next to us were asked if everything was ok could they leave a review. The staff knew their errors but moreso they knew the food was substandard which is why they avoided us. We grabbed a flying member of staff, ordered the bill paid and left. Dreadful experience."

"Honestly the best experience yet, it was a late Friday evening so a little busy and I was a bit hungry so popped into this branch. There was a few people ahead of me but I still felt it was quicker than some of the competitors (M, K, BK, S) the staff were very friendly and helpful explaining all the options. The food itself was great, filling and tasteful. Will definitely be returning purely based on how the staff on shift at the time made me feel welcomed and like I was in a comfortable environment, the manager mostly but the others including trainee were extremely helpful."

"Byron Putney is a fantastic location of the burger chain. I was thoroughly impressed by the quick and friendly service during my visit, and the food was delectable. Personally, when I dine at Byron, I opt for a more unique burger experience by choosing a thin burger without the buns and salad, along with some sweet potato fries and their incredible salads. The quinoa, avocado, and extra toppings, though slightly lacking in seasoning, are always abundant and extremely fresh. The feta and watermelon salad with pickled pink radishes is a delightful burst of flavors. I will definitely be returning soon."

"The restaurant had a beautiful decor and a calm, relaxed atmosphere. The waitress was excellent - very friendly and attentive, constantly checking on us to make sure we were happy with our food. The Camembert appetizer was delicious, served with just the right amount of bread and butter. Our main course of beef and lamb roasts was cooked perfectly, with the vegetables still having a slight crunch that we enjoyed. The Yorkshire puddings were huge and tasty. Despite being too full to try the desserts, we felt that the meal was great value for money. The only downside was the toilets, which were a bit dirty and could use a refresh."

"Great place but starting to look a bit tired. Toilets are an issue as limited and not particularly clean which is always a red flag! Try and get an attendant who is ideally not serving food, to check the loos every 15 mins and discourage patrons from allowing their dogs to sit on the seats. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch"

"Due to COVID-19 the restaurant only works as a take-away. However..., they are unable to take an order for the next hour and a half because they have too many orders... After which I would need to call them and not just turn up even though it says in their window you can order on the spot... All this for a pizza... The plan was to try the food and go back after the quarantine, if good, but, obviously, that will not be happening now. They obviously have a serious organisational problem in their kitchen. They also have a problem with their attitude as they manipulate reviews on Tripadvisor by getting negative ones removed without a clear reason given for that. They also have a note about their dress code in their window while they are struggling to bake a pizza..."

"The restaurant offers a vegan roast with all the traditional sides, with the option for extra sides at no additional cost. They also have a variety of pizza, pasta, and other main courses to choose from. While the roast may not be the best, it is still decent (although the roast potatoes could use improvement). Prices are a bit on the higher side, especially for drinks and dessert. The atmosphere is lively, especially during Sunday lunch with many families dining together. In the evenings, it seems to be more popular for friends meeting for drinks at the bar."

"We only had breakfast at this restaurant during our two-night stay. The first day, the service was excellent and the food was great. However, on the second day (a Saturday), breakfast was served later and the restaurant was much busier. It seemed disorganized, as we were seated away from everyone else due to my husband being in a wheelchair. We were left waiting while other customers were being served drinks. Eventually, the same young lady who had served us the previous morning offered us drinks but couldn't take our food order. Another waiter had instructed her to only serve drinks. After explaining our situation, she quickly took our food order and made sure my husband got toast for his medication. Despite the initial hiccups, the service and food were excellent. It was disappointing that the other staff were not as attentive as she was."

"I was the winner of a competition to win 20 pints, during the annual beer festival that they held this weekend. I was delighted with the news, and brought my family down to appreciate it in their beer garden. We were greeted very nicely, And generally had very good service. I was welcomed by the owner, who was a helpful and very friendly gentleman. There was a wide range of beer and cider to sample, And we had a great time. The food was very good. And in particular the roast chicken was brilliant. The meat fell off the bone beautifully. Only one small! Niggle was that the waitress seemed to struggle with our big order (7 of us) and didn't write anything down, So we did have some issues with what arrived at our table. This was rectified on the bill and so was fine. Otherwise we had a brilliant experience and I would highly recommend"

"This is a beautiful pub in the backstreets of Richmond with a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The drinks, snacks and starters are served very efficiently and are always delicious! They have a very varied and seasonal menu with loads of delicious options (vegetarian and not). I started with the babaganoush and hummus flatbread which is an amazingly delicious small snack incase you aren't very hungry or waiting on someone. Then i had the steak of the day which is succulent, flavourful and stunningly delicious. It comes with a perfect peppercorn sauce and a delicious side salad that pairs well with the steak. It makes a great family dinner place on mother's day or father's day and for a Sunday Roast. Would give 6 stars if I could!"

"I want to write this review because I am a regular customer of WFM in Richmond and the last visit was very remarkable because me and my partner are trying to avoing single use plastic where possible and when we asked at the lady at the meat/fish counter (Yanola if I remember well, sorry for any spelling mistake) if they could accept customers container to put food inside. She was so kind that all my fears of annoying her have been blown away with her amazing customer service! She explained us kindly that when the pandemic emergency will be over they will be able to accept customers containers again. I generally like the customer service at WFM and now I have the chance to say a big thank to the team members! Even the ladies in the beauty shop area are always suoer kind and helpful! Thank you"

"We stopped in here on a busy Sunday afternoon just for a quick drink after a long walk, but the food look so good we couldn’t resist. The sharing boards look incredible but we just ordered a single roast each which was enough for us as we can’t eat loads at once. Would love to go back for a board and dessert one day though! Even though we were walk-ins and added more food to our order after ten minutes, it came really quickly and was piping hot. Everything was amazing (deep fried parsnip meant I actually enjoyed my parsnip). The only complaint would have been there’s not much gravy, but when we asked for more it came within two minutes. The bill did too when we asked for it, even though they were so busy. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the pub is beautiful inside with music and a great atmosphere. Will be returning!"

"I am writing to express my disappointment with my takeaway experience at your restaurant on Friday night. I have been a loyal customer for many years and have always been satisfied with the freshly prepared and distinct dishes I have received. However, my jalfrazi Kolkata was far from satisfactory. It was lacking in flavor, with too many onions and a few green chilies, and the chicken strips tasted boiled and were tasteless. Additionally, my wife's prawn pathia was nothing like the dish she usually enjoys. The vegetable dishes also looked and tasted different, leading me to wonder if there have been changes in chefs or ownership. This falls below the standard I have come to expect from your establishment, and I am saddened that I may need to look elsewhere for my meals in the future. Despite the high price of £40, I believe I can find better quality elsewhere. Mark."

"I had High Tea for lunch and the sandwiches (cucumber, ham, cheese, salmon, and egg mayo) were soft and delicious, reminiscent of the lunches my mum used to make for me. The little scones and choice of cake from the cabinet were also delightful. We opted for The Maids, a baked custard tart, which was delicious. As I left in the mid-afternoon, I noticed a tempting black forest cake that I will have to try next time. The restaurant had a large kitchen in the back, and I believe everything was made in-house. I also saw others enjoying a traditional roast lunch. What truly made the experience special was the attentive and charming staff, each a character in their own right. The ladies were a delight, showcasing their hospitality skills in a tough industry. People-watching is a favorite pastime of mine, as I also work with the public. The restaurant was filled with a diverse group of guests, adding to the charm of the place. I can't quite pinpoint why I had such a fantastic time, but I believe it was the unique atmosphere compared to the generic chain restaurants everywhere. I will definitely return as places like this deserve more recognition. If only I lived closer, I would become a regular. I give The Maids of Honour a rating of 5, truly wonderful."
