"CUCUMIAO in Palau (Sardinia), the best italian, mediterranean restaurant I have ever been to in years. I am going to tell you why you should visit this magnificent restaurant in the middle of this beautiful island. The service is very polite. The waiters have welcomed me very well and asked immediately how our day is going. The boss of the restaurant came to us with the wine card and suggested the best wine for our dishes. He gave us some delicious bread and toast. Afterwards we could taste the wine and we liked it a lot. We have never eaten so much and so well for a reasonable price. I took gnocchi as a starter and lamb for my main dish. It was excellent. The meat melted on my tongue and the gnocchi was made with love and it definitely was self-made. As a dessert I took the typical Italian banger , the tiramisu. It was delicious. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. It is a typical Italian style. You see a lot of bottles of red wine on the wall and it gives us a pleasant atmosphere. We sat outside in a covered verande that still let in some sunshine.7 The location was great. We found it easily and it was clearly indicated on the road. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who loves a good Italian or Mediterranean dish in a pleasant restaurant with very kind people."

"We know this restaurant from our last vacations in Sardinia. The management has changed some months ago and we were pleased to find out that the service has improved even more. We went there twice during our last stay in Palau. Both times the food was delicious! The menu consisted of typical Sardinian dishes well prepared and at a reasonable price. Best porceddu ever! The service was friendly, attentive and courteous. Charming location immersed in the green."

"arrived a little by chance in the desperate search for a place to dine during this low season. very warmly. we order two first tagliatelle with fresh tuna and tomatoes. Waiting there are brought some guttiau leaves pani, the music paper heated in the oven with oil and salt, very welcome and a taste of velvet of potatoes with mushrooms and a sprinkle of bottarga, really delicious. the wait is not long, the first, in abundant portions, appear very well and are very Gothic. combination of fresh tuna with tomatoes. as we are already enough satis, we pass directly to the dessert, a portion to divide us of goat cottage cheese with cherry and crumbled berries. exquisite. to return. "Da provare! Ristorante molto bello, pulito e ben organizzato, con tavoli ben distanziati l'uno dall'altro, cosa che permettere di mantenere la propria privacy. Personale super disponibile e simpatico, oltre che preparati. Il cibo invece è un qualcosa di spettacolare, è un'esperienza culinaria. Alcuni dei piatti che abbiamo preso sono: Tonnarelli cacio e pepe con gamberi rossi: semplicemente spettacolari, tutto molto bilanciato. Tonno scottato con salsa Teriaki (salsa che ci è stato detto che preparano loro, infatti è meno salata del solito) semplicemente gustosa, con una carne veramente morbida. Vale ogni singolo centesimo speso."

"location: Menu: service: price: the restaurant is not beautiful: it has garden (concrete) on the outside with a slightly spartan furniture. the menu offers dishes of fish slightly revisited compared to the classic recipes, but really delicious and of excellent quality. the fish of the day is always available, even the one of good quality. the service is slow, but courteous and always available. the price is related to the quality offered: average for dishes and a local wine. for me is the best seafood restaurant and I always go back to it."

"Ristorante centralissimo e molto affollato. Ci siamo stati due volte ed abbiamo dovuto fare la fila, ma ne è valsa la pena. La prima volta abbiamo preso una pizza favolosa, ricchissima di ingredienti e molto soffice. L seconda volta abbiamo preso zuppa di cozze e insalata di mare, veramente squisiti.;il servizio è stato buono, impeccabile e veloce-I prezzi nella norma."

"Ci siamo imbattuti casualmente in questo ristorante, attratti dalle molte recensioni positive, dopo un’intensa giornata di mare. Presentandoci alle 20.30 senza prenotazione e vedendo il locale alquanto pieno, ci aspettavamo di dover fare un po’ di fila. Inaspettatamente, la proprietaria ci accoglie subito e ci fa sedere al tavolo. Parlando del cibo, veramente gustoso e di qualità sopratutto la fregola ai frutti di mare allego). Tuttavia non posso dare 5 stelle a cause di 2 fattori: 1) la fretta dei camerieri posso capire la presenza di molti commensali ma se avessi voluto fare una cena rilassante con amici non avrei potuto godermela) 2) abbiamo ordinato 2 calici di vino bianco da 5€ e mi si sono presentati 2 bicchieri con circa 10 ml MA NON FATE I BRACCINI CORTI Nel complesso consigliatissimo per la qualità del pesce e per la bellezza del ristorante"

"The view is beautiful from the restaurant and too often restaurants that have such views rely on this, rather than great food, to bring in the clients. I had read the reviews below and decided to go despite my cynicism. The food was delicious!!! Best meal in Palau. I tried the seafood ravioli which everyone was raving about on Trip Asvisor I now see what the fuss was about. It was the best ravioli I have had in my life (and I have been to Rome, Florence, Verona, Tuscany etc). Honestly this you need to try. My mother had mushroom pasta to try something different and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was also very very yummy. Conclusion: eat at this restaurant and definitely if there is only one thing you can order have the seafood ravioli."

"Friendly and helpful staff Sophisticated fish dishes are very good, such as the cuttlefish stuffed with octopus and smoked salmon, the fish ravioli and the crusted tuna. Quality wine also choosing the cheapest. The only flaw, however, if the waiter asks you what we can offer as bitter nn then I can find them in the final bill. "Appena arrivati a Palau per la nostra vacanza non ci facciamo ingannare dell'unica recensione negativa (che proprio stento a comprendere . Tutto perfetto! Dall'accoglienza molto calorosa (nonostante fossero già le 14 al pasto. Un antipasto, un primo ed un secondo tutti buonissimi! Ci è stato anche offerto un mirto a fine pasto, buonissimo (dire che era buono è abbastanza scontato! Prezzi contenuti e gentilezza sconfinata da parte di tutti! "Service was absolutely shocking, the food wasn't much better and when I dared to question the service charge with the manager, his response was if I could could manage it better than him I was welcome to have a go, when I mentioned about reviews he told me that he doesn't care about reviews they are just people being vengeful and he doesn't care about them, I asked for his name and he refused. There was several other diners in the the restaurant that had to keep asking for things like drinks and bills, I had to ask twice for our drinks and when the wine arrived we had no glasses I asked for 2 glasses and the waiter came back with an ice bucket (for red wine). The manager argued with me in front of other diners and even asked if I had been to Italy before. So my tip to anyone reading this, there are plenty of restaurants in Palau but I would avoid this one. Andy Simpson PS not frightened to put my name to this review."

"Ottimo Slow food, consigliato che ha rispecchiato le aspettative, da tornarci sicuramente . Ho dato 4 stelle perché non hanno considerato (Articolo 10 del D.M. 21/12/1984) Che dice: TARA: tutto ciò che avvolge o contiene la merce da vendere o è unito ad essa e con essa viene venduto . Purtroppo dopo aver pagato , ho chiesto di pesare il piatto vuoto per vedere il suo peso e così ho capito velocemente che l 'insalata di polpo che mi avevano dato senza conteggiare la tara, aveva avuto una maggiorazione di euro 3,6. 60 euro al kg. Peso del piatto 15 grammi . Purtroppo la Signora e ' andata subito su tutte le furie, dandomi della PIDOCCHIOSA e pregandomi di uscire, dandomi in malo modo i soldi della tara che non avevo chiesto. Volevo solo far notare che si era dimenticata come la legge prevede. Uscendo mi ha lanciato la solita frase che si da ai Turisti: Vengono qui pensando di non pagare . Credo che se si rispettasse la legge sarebbe tutto più semplice. Magari può mettere un extra di 50 centesimi o quanto crede lei per le stoviglie BIO che fornisce . Capisco abbiano un costo. Però diciamolo, non avete fatto una bella figura. Ci vuole calma e pazienza e non bisogno alberarsi quando si è ' nel torto."

"The place is between two streets facing another building and no outdoor seating. It is very dated the prices do not match the portion sizes or quality of food selection. One side order of fries is 6 Eur and the portion size is for kids. Fish heads are placed on the platter to fill space and account for the lack of amount of eatable food. The bread was at least 2 day stale. The service was very pushy to leave while we were still conversing they started cleaning off our table. Definetly would not recommend or return. Out of the 65 restaurants in Palau this should be the first on the bottom of the list. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €40–50 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"
