"This was by far the best Chineese around for about 15yr ish but the past six years ish it’s became hit or a miss. I think they must have two chefs one good and one not so good. Sometimes it’s great and sometimes it’s inedible. Sometimes the fried rice has spring onions and sometimes did doesn’t. Sometimes the lemon chicken is lovely and sometimes it’s dried up and horrible. I’ve heard a few people that have the two chef theory and I suggest they work which one isn’t up to scratch and get rid of them before they loose business. I am not sure how basic things are not consistent in the same restaurant. Such a shame as you were constantly brilliant!"

"We ordered a take away at 4:30PM for collection at 5:30. I arrived at 5:35 to be advised they were only just starting to cook it then. It should have been ready to collect at this time as requested. The restaurent was chaotic, another customers order had been lost and she was complaining, the owner came out and shouted at the staff that there were orders waiting in the kitchen. I waited 35 minutes and eventually complainted about the delay. I eventually received my order at 18:10 (40 minutes late). We do like the food here and I understand it was busy but IMO this delay is unacceptable. I had two hungry kids at home waiting to eat and it wasn't fair to make them wait this long. I won't risk ordering from here again given I don't want a repeat of this saga."

"Food is always superb here. Portion sizes are big and we find we don't need a starter or dessert! Might do a starter and a dessert next time lol. But then again we're not big eaters. "Visited today with family for the first time but we had a poor experience. We were seated for 30 mins before someone came took our order. Once our order was took, we waited another 30 mins for our food, it was a little busy but not over run busy. I asked the staff about our order they didn’t know what I was on about, only later for them to apologise as they “didn’t have our order in” Once we received our order, we needed cutlery which they “Forgot about too” our food was cold cutlery was dirty. It was a very hectic experience Un relaxed. The waiter appeared untrained the staff in the kitchen seemed to be running around like headless chickens… overall, we had a poor experience which was disappointing."

"We have been using, R36 a lot through lockdown. It’s fantastic, we love it and the kids too. New menus choice, although live earlier you planned is an absolute winner.?? Always really tasty and warm and always ready at time specified. Great combination with sister company le petit cafe too. Long overdue review sorry!"

"Great services with lovely cakes on offer and occasionally end of day discounted baked goods, we got fresh bloomers for £1. The restaurant had lovely food and a meal of cottage pie and pudding for £10. We stayed in car park, camper home £10 overnight with free use of wonderful showers and toilets. Book and pay at the garage/fuel services. Ladies on the desk were very friendly and helpful. Open 24 hours as well, door open on left looking from car park. Lovely food also sold here. Great for walking dog as well. Lots of rubbish bins. I only gave 4 stars due to lorry road noise all night as they pass either side."

"My husband and I went for late Lunch we we're greeted by a friendly Lady who asked us to fill in our details ie name contact telephone number ... A gentleman took our order I think he was the Manager) our order arrived...with our drinks .... My husband ordered small fish chips and I ordered beef stroganoff .... lovely atmosphere ..... we will definitely return to Ebis Restaurant , star Anne Jim Gunning X"

"I visited this restaurant for the first time last night and had a fantastic experience. The courtyard was beautiful and had a great atmosphere, even though it was quiet. The food was delicious and offered exceptional value for money. The staff were very nice, even though we were quite drunk by the time we left. I recommend giving this place a chance now that it has new ownership. I'm sure you won't be disappointed."

"This steakhouse is probably my favorite in town. If you're looking to treat yourself, this is the place to do it. The service is prompt but a bit gruff, which adds to the rustic steakhouse atmosphere. Our waiter, Tom, provided us with great guidance and was especially helpful in pairing beers with our steaks. Everything you've heard is completely true and then some! The steak is definitely the star of the show...and every time I go, it's consistently juicy and perfectly cooked. Don't forget to save room for dessert: the housemade cheesecake is absolutely delicious!"

"I went into the Clydesdale meet a friend last night only to be told by the staff that the price of a pint of Stella had now reached £3.70. This is the second price increase this year and a pint of Stella has gone up 13.7% in real terms. All the staff here are really friendly and provide an excellent service ALWAYS! I really cannot understand how any business can justify an increase of this magnitude. Whilst at the bar ordering my drink, I did take into account other customers reaction to the price increases and I felt really sorry for all the bar staff who were dealing with the shock of the customers extremely well. Rachael (the mangeress) and all her staff do a truly wonderful job serving the locals of Lanark and to put nice staff in a difficult position is very unfair. I just wondered if the owners of this chain actually realise that the price of a pint of Stella is now more than in a pub in Central Glasgow!!! I'm a pensioner approaching the age of 80 and on a fixed income and I just wished that my pension rose by 13.7% per annum to cope with these extortionate price increases. Do the owners actually realise that if you walk just over 100 yds from this establishment that people can get a pint of the same beer for 35p less?? This 2nd additional price is not on sorry. I hope that readers of this review will actually check all my other 84 reviews and see just how positive I normally am. Please also check my last review for the Clydesdale which was also very positive. The staff here are second to none as is the manageress Rachael all of whom do a wonderful job."

"liz daisley. I was in the field years ago and remembered the restaurant well. when I was in lanark before I was in the morning, I decided to go for an early dinner. I enjoyed the food presentation very, the staff was very helpful and friendly. So I have been back a few times since then and booked for a meal tomorrow saturday. I would definitely recommend this restaurant."
