"I had a lovely stay at The 'R ' Inn and was welcomed personally by the Manageress from the roadside when I couldn 't find the location due to me misreading the Sat Nav! When I arrived fairly late (21.00) the bar was open and I was shown to my allocation by the same lady. I had a lovely very clean, tidy and well made up little room, which was adequately stocked with tea and coffee making facilitiies, widescreen TV, a shower and lots of clean towels. At first, I was worried about the temperature with the single fixed window, as it was quite a warm evening when I arrived but the powerful and quiet free standing electric fan did an equal job to air conditioning and I slept like a log. My only issue was I couldn 't work out how to change the channels on the TV remote, so I watched several episodes of 'Everyone 's talking about Raymond '! There is adequate parking at the rear, of the building, which has a security floodlight. Despite being located in a busy little village, it was very quiet and I would definitley visit again and the 'R ' Inn comes highly recommended for those travelling light. Need a place to stay? We R inn! Rooms: Small but well laid out and good use of space Safety: When the front desk was un-manned, clear instruction were given by the use of signage, although I did misinterpret the night time entrance! Walkability: Right on the high street with shops and pubs! Food drinks: Just what you would expect from a low budget hotel Noteworthy details: Very reminiscent of the fully automated hotel structure in France"

"When we arrived at the pub there were a group of people in the smoking area who were drunk and making comments on us entering carrying all of our bags (what do they expect? so immediately had a bad feeling about this place. Walked through a 60th birthday party trying to find where to check in turns out you just stand at the bar with your bags and wait for someone to see to you. As we were waiting, there were men at one of the tables who were jeering at us saying alright love give us your name and number which is really not what we wanted after a long day at a competition and just wanting to check into our room. I replied to the men and told them we did not want to listen to their sexist remarks we just wanted to go to our room and they just laughed in our faces. As we were showed up to our room we were showed to the communal bathroom where there were wet towels on the floor, sandals, dirty socks and missing shower curtain. When raising our concerns to the bar staff there was no manager or duty manager available. A lady did come in to help us but when telling her the bathroom had not been cleaned she wasn 't very sympathetic to our situation when explaining that we would expect to come to a clean facility. When we returned, there was a party on until midnight therefore loud music when we were trying to sleep (needed to be up at 6am which we did accept because it 's a pub, but there was still a commotion downstairs until half past midnight and then at 3am and 4am we were further awoken by a party in one of the rooms. One bed was okay, one was in fairness very comfortable, but the one my friend was on was more springs than mattress. Genuinely really painful to sleep on. We did not feel the staff were receptive of our concerns and we were just fobbed off with an email address of somebody to contact. Pictured attached."
