Always a lovely carvery at the trading post. Love the roast potatoes. I also had vegan coconut ice cream as I’m intolerant to milk so that was a bonus. Lush

We waited 1 and a half hours for our food which then did not come out together. This is really unusual for the trading post as the service is normally quite god.

Lovely place for a carvery. You can choose between a small, medium and large plate of food. Food was delicious. Reasonably priced too. Please be aware between 12pm and 3pm is very busy on Sundays. We waited 40 minutes for a table. In future I'll book in advance. Voir le carte

We had booked a table to celebrate our 42nd valentines day. Whilst stood at the booking table a bearded man shouted over to say he didn't have any room. I said we had booked a table. The carvery was very poor quality. The food was warm and the roast potatoes over cooked and burnt. We did not feel welcomed.

is shown what it was the ultimate cattle burger I treated my 11 year old son and although the menu is great, they either pay for an adult meal or one for a smaller child and the prices are not exactly cheap (not expensive for an adult.) my son sacrificed for a smaller child meal so that he could end up in one of the adult desserts. personal facilities, where good.

Disappointing, took a friend for a birthday treat, we had the carvery, the beef was so tough couldn’t cut with knife, took it back gave us some more beef but it was tough again took it back gave us some turkey/chicken. Was going to have a dessert but decided not to. Also don’t ask when paying if you would like to leave a tip before your meal ,and why pay more at weekends for carvery, for the same meal, not like it used to be there. Disappointing. Voir le carte

Went early evening on a Friday and it was very busy, would recommend booking a table. Menu seemed decent, with a good range of choices to suit all, all the typical food you would expect. However, at £7.99 I went for the standard plate carvery. You get a Yorkshire pudding, 3 slices of meat (choice of turkey, beef or gammon on my night), and ask the vegetables and potato's you can eat, plus you can go back for more veg/spuds. All in all one of the better carverys I have had.

beautiful daytime carvery today, not too busy around 12.30, but around 1.15 was quite full, more popular place carvery is the choice of s/m/l, £6.45, £8.54, £10.45, mon sat, more £2 on a Sunday, both the truthahn the bark were really well cooked, nice delicate, beautiful house made yorkshires, very large. they also have a menu with a lot of dressed up, but we did not try anything, personal was very friendly, pub was very clean through, I had a bit of a shock at £5.30 for a prise of hobgoblin but.

"Richard and I, en route from Cambridge to Shropshire, chanced upon this splendid cafe in Kettering, easily accessible from the A14. The cafe occupies a cosy space with a breakfast bar by the window, offering a lovely view of the local red-brick architecture, and a fine place from which to watch the colourful characters of Kettering passing by. Unlike some cafes, there was no 'greasy spoon ' smell, which was a boon. Instead a delightful and appetite-arousing aroma of freshly cooked bacon and eggs. Richard opted for the small breakfast, and had no trouble in swapping out his eggs and tomato for black pudding and mushrooms at no extra cost. I ordered the much-vaunted breakfast baguette. The food was cooked freshly and served quickly. Richard was impressed by the appearance of his plate, and more so by the delicious food which he consumed with gusto. Richard said the bacon was well cooked, the mushrooms were good, not too greasy, generally everything was well cooked, the only thing that could have been better was the sausage, which was fine but obviously a 'standard quality ' sausage . My breakfast baguette was fantastic, the crispy bread was marvellous and the generous filling was hot and tasty, and not at all greasy. All this, plus two steaming cups of flavoursome tea for the bargain price of £9.90. We both took the opportunity to use the facilities and we 're impressed with their cleanliness and the provision of Radox soap. On the whole a great find. We will certainly drop in again if we pass by on another adventure."
