"Ruenthai is the oldest – and also the most popular Thai restaurant in Hanover – after the Sawaddi disappeared years ago. Looking at the pictures hanging in the stairs with autograph, it is even popular with different sizes of sports entertainment. At noon it is always very full of 12:30, lunch from a small card costs every 7,90 €, including daily changing soup. 0.2 l soft drink 2,10 €, 0.4 for 3,80 €. PLV definitely fits, but the quality of food is unfortunately not constant – but it is – at all my visits(more than 30) over the years, never bad. A la Carte is not possible for lunch - in the evening the selection of the main fairs is significantly larger, also a good selection of different appetizers is in the menu. The welcome will take place in the afternoon, because the service staff really only runs. Kindly yes – partly “asian” reserved. The interior should bring a touch from Thailand to Hanover – it’s easy to “kitschig” for the “typical” German – but Asian Thai seems to like it. The fact that it is the oldest Thai restaurant in Hanover is unfortunately noticeable in many small things in the corners. Instead of the evening, Bas used mats, the laminated lunch cards are on the tables, with Thai cutlery (gardens and spoons). In Thailand is usually eaten with cutlery (except in Indians, Pakis and the other peoples of the Middle East). The dishes are – so I have said from a Thai year, with the spoon “promoted” in the mouth, the fork serves as “Aid” and from him to eat is considered “unhappy rude” in Thailand – can someone of you confirm that? As soup we served a clear, unbound vegetable soup, with fresh herbs (calorie, large-leaf parsley, lemongrass, gallanga root pieces), a pinch of Thai curry red, chicken meat pieces, bamboo strips, a few TK-eerbsen, mushrooms (cheese from the can), all slightly acidified. I seasoned with a sweet soy sauce and very small red inlaid chili. Totally delicious. As main dishes we chose a red and a green curry with chicken (gold plated), with eggplants (not from the small Thai eggplants – which fall victim to the cost of lunch table), some zucchini in the green curry, in the red paprika wig in light colors, then the usual bamboo strips, lemongras basil. Both currys are sharp, the red slightly sweetish-rough in taste, the green has a slightly bitter sharpening touch. I prefer the “red” note, my wife’s green curry. Coconut milk, however, ensures a suitable round taste experience. As already written, there are fluctuations in the quality and quantity of ingredients, in the season. Both curry were tastefully delicious, the amount of meat was good. Cleanliness in the WC area is good, but here too the tooth of time is called. Less beautiful was that some (again) dried rice grains were found on our table (with a narrow side) on a wall. Since we remember the food of the Indian, we found very subjective that the Thai feeds – probably due to spying – are more in the stomach. Here we take a longer break again."

"At first our experience was great, the waitress came and took our order for starters and main courses. We were served our starters within about 20 minutes and they were delicious. After this about one hour goes by with no return of our waitress and...no sign of our main courses. We start to notice that 2 tables that came in quite a while after us were being served and we are now concerned. The restaurant was semi busy, half full. Someone from our party gets up to ask one of the waitress behind the bar as that is where they all stayed most of the time instead on the floor. He is told it should only be about 1-2 more minutes before our food would come out. 20 minutes later nothing has happened. Another person from our party now gets up and goes by the bar to ask again and he is told the same thing, another couple of minutes. About another 10-15 minutes go by and still nothing. Another person from our party goes to the bar again to ask what is going on and basically told the same thing. This makes 3 times that someone has had to get up and ask. During this whole time the original waitress never returned to our table to check in or apologize. Our food finally comes out 1.5 hours of waiting. We are served and 3 out of 7 of the dishes were dry and overcooked as if they had been sitting under lamps too long. Usually after being served your meal it is customary that a server will check back in to ask if everything is ok or if anything else is needed. This did not happen, many of us did not have anything to drink and had to get up and go ask the server behind the bar. Now we are finished with our main course and now sitting for a long time again waiting to cleared of our plates or given a dessert menu or bill. No sign of the server again. We have to flag down another server to ask for the check, we wouldn't dare ask for for the dessert menu. I am writing this review so that maybe someone who is in charge will see this and be able to correct this issue for future diners. We were a party of 7 that arrived around 7:45 on 12/4/14."

"today on Friday 17.02.2017 we had ordered the lunch table again (at 5-6 times). Unfortunately, mostly 4 people tables are occupied by rarely more than 2 people, so it is quickly full. in winter you are quickly too close to the door, which causes a too cold wind train at each opening.Everything was as always, the maximum neutral (!) staff has quickly brought the two dishes described on the noon card, I had to remember something extra chili again. After we had to approx. 2/3 had eaten, we agreed to two that we would both like to take some more rice, the normal rice portions are above average small! the young waiter we had not seen in the last weeks, pointed out that this € 1.50 per person would cost extra. - we looked at us asking, because this was never so in the past. To be honest, it was still in whole Germany and in the rest of the world that we traveled a lot, never so, not in vietnam or other Asian countries! when we reported that, he replied that this is always the case, that is the instructions of the managing director. when we talked to this also quite young lady, she confirmed that: "that would always be so!" our idea, however, that we could get some more of the really tightly dimensioned supplement without any problem, did not let them apply!!! "here it always costs 1.50 € additionally!" then the phone rings and she was easily behind kicking disappeared. after that she didn't come back and served guests as if nothing had been. So we asked again if the case for them would be done now? they didn't want to accept that we had actually gotten in the local easy extra rice, that would really not be in the very cheap lunch table. this price moves between about €6.50 and €7.50, that is quite exactly what is demanded here in the nearer environment everywhere, while others sometimes offer a second "mini-gang".Also: this arrangement by (right) chef, who only sometimes looks in the local, has always been like that, it cannot have been out and who should have brought us that out and stopped it? they were"
