"If you are a carnivorous eater and want to feel right at home in a place that caters to your hunger, do not look for any other restaurant in the area of Exeter. We started with the chicken wings and not too quote another fine dining restaurant but they where finger licking delicious, we had them with their own home made BBQ sauce but there is the option to get them spicy. 5 of these for £8,50 can't go wrong there. As a lubricant on the side I had a lovely 1.2% powderkeg greenlight and my lovely wife a twist on a negroni. The main meal for me was the rack of ribs with poutin fries, the meat is so well prepared that it falls off the bone. The rub they use is absolutely one of the finest I tasted and these ribs alone are worth a visit. If you are into a hint of smoke with a light spice touch this is it, sometimes ribs can be served to sweet. Not the case with these ones. If you do go for this meal be aware that it is a good plate of food unfortunately I could not finish all of my portion of super loaded fries. But for £22,50 and £6, you get an amazing meal that will not leave you hungry out the door. You know when you enter a place if they got everything right from the get go. The theme here is that this restaurant does things with pigs and respects the animal that it comes from with serving it in the most proper way possible. The service is good and a shout out to Christian for it. You will spend an average of £30 to £50 a person here and it is absolutely worth it! Next time I will come back for those spicy chicken wings."

"We went for our Work Christmas Do, we were all there in plenty of time, asked by the staff to sit down for 6.45 there was two larger tables in the back of the pub, one for us and another for another group, we were all seated by 7 and had drinks, we waited and waited for the starters to come out, but nothing happened, no one came to say why we were not getting our food, our manager had to go and find someone only to be told that they were short staffed, the other group were also waiting, we finally had our starters at nearly 9oclock which were very poor, supposed to be Duck Rillettes, it was a very poor it was basically Duck meat and onion in a small pot and two stale pieces of bread, I had to ask for butter just to make it able to be stuck to the bread, but buy this time we were so hungry that I ate it, the main came out which was ok, Christmas dinner but again small portions I think not had two Brussels Sprouts which were like bullets, and finally, the desserts, mine was a chocolate mousse which looked like it had been sat for ages as it was very watery and unpleasant, I didn’t eat it, we were very disappointed with the hole experience, they couldn’t cope with so many people, other people that had come in to eat at the front of the restaurant were getting fed but both of our group and the other larger group were just left waiting, they couldn’t even bring us out some bread to keep us going. Wouldn’t recommend them for a Christmas Party!!"

"I just want to admit that I'm not a vegan, but I have reduced my consumption of meat and milk products. my partner founded her diet on vegan, so on a visit to exeter she introduced me into the plant cafe! we were warmly welcomed and found a place in the window, it was a beautiful day, so was nice, lunch with a view of the cathedrale green. I had a look through the menu and it was filled with incredible sounding feeds and drinks! I was stubborn what to choose! we decided quickly for a coffee. my goodness, the coffee was beautiful! rich in taste and I was blown away! better than a few coffee houses. we finally decided for a homity pipe. the presentation was amazing! I just couldn't wait to dig in! we had a long look around more exeter, so it was nice to finally recover and have something nice to eat. the cake was nicely light, really tasty! they get a lot of beautiful aroma, taste break for their palette. as it was a nice bite, we decided to get the carrot cake. one of the best decisions! my goodness, it's the best carrot cake I've ever tasted! the aromen were perfect, beautifully moist and also not too dry! you say that every quantity goes carefully into every dish! everything beautifully presented and prepared. I can't recommend this place enough. for everyone will not love vegan and vegan eating! incredible and beautiful workers who were very helpful and beautiful. they recognize some amazing recommendations for us, especially as our first visit. we're coming back a few points!"
