"Where to eat good and inexpensive in Dortmund? In the southern suburb of DO Wellinghofen lies the sister restaurant from the inner-city Rossini, which I recently wrote a review. So today spontaneously in the Mamma Leone, which attracts us during the passing. Friends had recently told us about the much cheaper lunch table €8.90 than in Rossini €11.90. Service We are greeted with joy by two bosses who we already know from Rossini. We know that we're right here. Competent, routined and extremely warm and accommodating. A service worker offers us a table for free selection. This is good because of the lighting conditions for the planned photos. This employee is also very polite, present at any time when we need it and obviously worried about our well-being, without the arrogance and even enragedness of waiters, sometimes shown at Italian restaurants. What I particularly appreciate is if the service after the richness of the bill does not remain nervously squealing at the table to immediately cassify, but lets me as a guest the time to scrape the last money together in order to store it in the Diners Club Map until the handover. Ambiance The establishment of this groundy large restaurant is decorated in warm colours from cream to wine-red to sand-coloured and modernly elegant. Sandy leather benches on the walls and wood leather chairs in two different design variants stand on dark brown stick parquet. The walls are alternately painted with cream and red, between walls in beige masonry. On the windows partly heavy dark grey side curtains. On the tables lie white fabric tablecloths and over top over corner creamy fabric blankets as well as white fabric napkins. It is covered with knife, fork, small bread knife and white bread plate. A short-cut yellow tulip and a glass wind light are placed in a round glass vessel. We are told that the restaurant will soon be renovated and the restaurant will be closed for a few days. Well, the cushions actually have a few signs of use after six years. Let's surprise what happens so that guests feel even more comfortable! The ground floor, modern toilets are perfectly well maintained and equipped with a changing table in the WC. Add to this a tastefully successful ball paprika herbal butter. The cold antipasti, consisting of grilled vegetables such as paprika, zucchini, aubergines, mushrooms, onions, dried tomatoes and garlic, are freshly cooked and not marinated with vinegar for preservation. The soup made of liquefied parsley roots is of slightly smooth consistency and very tasty. In the middle of each one sticks oil and pesto round aromatically. Putensteak on bacon beans On the white plate are two large pieces fried turkey breast. The meat is fried, but still a little juicy. In addition to the steaks, a plentiful portion of fresh green beans is correctly cooked with even minimal bite and mixed with warm molten cherry tomatoes. Salmon from the grill on vegetables in soy sauce On a bed of fresh vegetables such as zucchini, aubergines, paprika, onions and champignons are diagonally two narrow tranches of fresh salmon. The vegetable is still has bite and salmon – on my wish fried without skin is juicy and lightly glassy as I like it. Only the gray transhipment between skin and fish meat was unfortunately not removed by chef. Otherwise, the food is well seasoned and tasty. Conclusion These are prepared for €9.90 per two-way menu overall seen two successful lunches from fresh ingredients. Compared to Rossini, this kitchen can be fully equipped. If you drink an espresso here at the end, you will get a total of €11.80. The two-way menu in Rossini costs incl. Espresso 11,90 € My dear friends, Mamma Leone and Rossini both offer an excellent lunch at identical prices! Mamma Leone has a more extensive menu than Rossini. Where the offer of pizza and pasta under 10 € is also attractive for the small wallet in the evening. Both restaurants are not cheap Italians, but offer an attractive, tasty cuisine from really fresh, high-quality products. Service:As already mentioned at the beginning, a very attentive and very courteous staff, which welcomes and hosts everyone very friendly. here all the guests feel good. it should be emphasized that complaints, should occur once, are taken very seriously and forwarded to the kitchen. you can also notice the habits of the guests who regularly come back here. fewzi osmani, : at any time at the place, works at all corners and edges, whether in the kitchen or in the service or in the clean-up work, but still has time to chat with the guests. a regular “Rampensau” in the positive sense.
