"We booked in advance for a party of 12, including a toddler, to celebrate a special birthday. The staff were very accommodating, offering a special vegetarian option to suit three of our party and giving us a choice of where we would like to sit. The menu had plenty of choice and the meals were very well prepared and presented. The steaks looked lovely, but I chose the chicken and chorizo pie, which I would highly recommend, as it came with a good selection of beautifully cooked seasonal vegetables, a delicious sauce and lovely light pie crust. This is a classic country hotel, serving carefully prepared meals, and excellent service, for which you do need to pay a little extra, but I did not think the prices were unreasonable. If you are looking for cheap cook-chill pub grub, you might like to go somewhere different."
