They have free WiFi and some tables have charging/usb sockets. Food is lovely and great value, staff very friendly and welcoming. Credit to all involved. Keep smiling"

"This was my first and last visit. I ordered a burrito, and the experience was terrible. The lady who took my order was extremely rude. When I asked to remove the rice I initially chose, she rudely threw it away, with most of it ending up on the floor. She then opened a new burrito, filled it with meat, and didn’t even ask if I wanted any veggies or other toppings. Everything she added, like the jalapeños, was placed haphazardly and all on one side. The burrito tasted bad, and the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Absolutely disappointing."

"By far the best burger take away in the Midlands. I have eaten from here more than 20 times and never once had a bad meal. I have just traveled from Mandfield to Syston with excitement knowing I was going to eat from Sizzler again for the first time in nearly a year. I have dined on burgers all over Europe and this restaurant is in my top 3 for a quality burger. Five Guys isnt even in my top 10 for comparison."

"last hour we went to the spicy cube of the moment when we went to the moment that we left the service of the spicy cube team was very welcoming and commendable. my family and I loved eating! it tasted amazing and everything was. very fresh. they ensured all my family needs and even cared for my sons food allergies to make sure I felt comfortable with eating. will be going back again"

"We had travelled up for a wedding and were staying at the Premier Inn round the corner. Happened to coincide with the England semi-final in the Euros so the place was rammed. Despite being rushed off their feet with food and drink orders the staff were really attentive and friendly. Pizzas were great too. Friendly atmosphere, couldn't fault it."

"I would have never had known about this hidden gem until taking a boat trip on the river soar with friends. Strange place to get to, down a very narrow winding lane. Absolutely stunning location! Overlooking the marina plus great outdoor seating . The inside is also very pleasant. The menu isn’t huge but all cooked fresh- two of our ladies had steak apparently it was delicious!/some had fish chips and other choices. All came at the same time, which is important, butthe downside is we did have to wait quite a while despite pre ordered. We arrived at 1pm had drinks but did not eat until 1.50pm when we all were starving hungry But we must say, it was well worth the long wait Great place for lunch with friends, and the service is brilliant. thank you all so much Also a fab place for a morning coffee, and delicious scone. Looking forward to visiting again shortly"

"Went in for breakfast and ordered two bacon and egg sandwiches but asked if the bread could be toasted. I checked the bill and I was charged for a toastie, in essence I was charged an extra £4 to have 4 slices of bread toasted, bit steep and when I questioned it was told, that’s what we do and that’s that. Not the best customer service by any of the staff."

"I visited the pub with my child who chose it because it had a bouncy castle in Hathern. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the experience. I ordered food at the bar while my friend stayed with our children at the table where we were given menus. I placed my order first, but my friend was told she would have to wait for an hour. The staff did not communicate this wait time beforehand, causing our party to be separated. The food I received was frozen and overpriced. The starters I ordered were small and unappetizing, not freshly made. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. When we ordered desserts, we requested them to be brought to the garden, which again seemed like a lot to ask for. Despite these issues, my son enjoyed his food, the bouncy castle, and play equipment in the garden. However, we had to leave quickly as the garden started smelling of weed."

"We ate here on an evening and left feeling fairly underwhelmed. Let me tell you... We were greeted upon entry with a warm welcome, but the restaurant lacked any real atmosphere or feeling you are in for a treat. The menu was on a QR code which is never great for the menu browsers among us. I like to scour the options before I make my choice, but scrolling through a website to see what to order just put me right off from the start. We then see shortly afterwards, menus given to other customers how odd, maybe we looked like QR code type people! We ordered food, and it was nothing special from start to finish. Cook from frozen calamari which was a little greasy, and olives that were of the cheap variety. Mains that were fairly run of the mill, although the pizza was apparently 'nice ' according to the other half. Pasta sauce that wouldn 't jump out in a crowd and bruschetta that was fine, but not value for money. Drinks wise, half a pint of Peroni was £3.95 which is fairly steep. No wine menu was given again, check the QR code and scroll to see the wine, quite honesty, very annoying having to do so hence we didn 't order wine. Certainly not worth the wait, the cost or our time popping in here. Not a complete disaster however by any means the host was polite if not a little quirky, and the female server was busy, if not somewhat stiff. My recommendation would be to pop some classic Italian tunes on in the background for atmosphere, menus for every table, lose the somewhat stark table dressing and look to offer your customers a true Italian experience. Overall, I 'd give the restaurant a 2.9 out of 5. I am not sure I 'll be rushing back anytime soon."

"My boyfriend I visited on a Saturday evening. We ordered a few starters and mains to share, all of the food was exceptional, the flavours were very authentic and it was all served hot and fresh. The Phad Thai was made gluten free...as per our request. The staff were helpful and friendly. The only downfall and reason why I didn’t give them stars is because we waited an hour for our food, and the starters and mains all came at the same time. We will definitely be back to try more from the menu. Hopefully we won’t have to wait as long for the food to arrive."

"We visited with friends this time but we are regulars sometimes as a couple and other times with family. Food is always consistent and very tasty too. Decent choice on the menu, reasonable choice of gluten friendly dishes too. If the weathers nice it’s great to sit outside and watch the boats and swans go by and people going through the lock outside. Family friendly on sunny days with bouncy castle (not too close to the tables so not intrusive) and you can also hire kayaks etc for a trip down the river. Service is friendly and it’s rare to wait for anything highly recommended but I recommend you book because it’s popular and gets busy even on weekday lunches!"

"I came here to celebrate my birthday on Thursday. I couldn’t not leave a review. The service was so wonderful, warm and welcoming. Your front of house team couldn’t do enough for us and made my birthday meal feel so special, especially the lady with the blonde hair (and stripy t-shirt) … thank you so much for such fantastic service and especially for being so lovely with my little boy. We got to try the new summer menu and it really did exceed expectations! The salmon and cream cheese arancini were better than the ones I tried in Sicily! I only wish I had room for dessert. Compliments to the chefs, everyone’s food was exceptional. Just a really really impressive evening and I can’t wait to come back. Thank you!"

"I have been dining at this fabulous restaurant for years and have to say the service is excellent. The owners have become family and are always warm and welcoming. The staff are attentive and respectful. The food, service and atmosphere is 10/10. Wish I could give more. If you want great food and vibes, this is the place to be. Thank you to Heena, Atul and the team for accommodating to our needs and making us feel welcome every time we visit, you really do go above and beyond for us. It’s always a great experience and I appreciate everything you do for us."

"I provided this feedback via their in-house feedback form but they didn’t bother to reply. My girlfriend booked us a table. When we checked the lady behind the bar was puzzled, unable to find our table. Was referred to “manager” who took us to a table with a card showing the table was reserved for another guest. Why no label for our table? Although there were many nice alcoves with a modicum of privacy our table was an awkward add-on in an awkward position with no privacy whatsoever. We ordered drinks that arrived timely and we ordered our roast lamb dinner. Three more times different staff asked us if we had ordered yet? Another example of the chaotic management style!! Within minutes the next table just a few feet away showed themselves to be very inconsiderate with a constantly barking dog under the table, very loud barking. I made my feeling very clear to the staff and soon the barking was stopped. Why allow dogs into the eating area? It’s not appropriate!! We started eating out roast dinner only to be disturbed again by a multiple tray crash, three separate crashes one after the other followed by staff rushing past us to investigate and clear up. Remember, our table in an awkward position, very apparent now. A few minutes later I expected a repeat when another staff member tried to navigate a fully loaded tray through a doorway narrower than the tray. It just beggars belief. Get proper trays!! We finished our dinner which was actually very nice, the only good thing in our visit, and left. It is hard to see why we would want to return to The Wheatsheaf Inn. It was chaotic."

"We are currently staying at the golf course in Atzenbrugg for a few days at GC DIAMOND. We were warmly welcomed and the hotel rooms are fantastic. In the evening, we dined at the Boathouse restaurant on the golf course and it was an amazing experience. The staff provided excellent service and the food was delicious. We received great recommendations for food and wine, and the dishes were outstanding. We highly recommend this restaurant without hesitation."

"Awful will never use this pub again. I’m a type 2 diabetic and a vegetarian. I have to be careful what I eat. I asked to alter something on the menu which was really easy and they weren’t busy I was told point blank I couldn’t alter anything on the menu! All I wanted was a cheese baguette lol! Instead I had to order veggie chilli. I have spent the last two hours on the toilet. The portion was also tiny for £8.95! One member of staff was rude. Please note their response to my review isn’t correct. They did have cheddar cheese because it was being served on other items on the menu. I also never said the portion I received was good. Furthermore I’m spending a second day ill after my visit."

"One of the best Thai places around with above and beyond customer service! my friend recently placed an order not realising it was collection only and when he called to explain the situation they arranged a delivery despite not having delivery drivers on duty. Not their problem at all but still fixed it and weren’t even going to ask for any money for the delivery! the food was delicious as usual"

"I go to the Passage about 6 to 8 times a year something I have done for a number of years. I have never had a bad meal or bad service in that time. This week I went with wifey for Banquet Night , we had Papadoms, starter, main course with Pilay and also Ice cream for £16.95, we did spend a little more as we had a couple of drinks each plus extra papadoms and 2 Chapatti's. The restaurant and toilets are always spotless, in fact the restaurant has had a refit with new chairs etc I have never been disappointed with The Passage to India, and for me it is 10/10.."

"I have used this tea room on a regular basis for a while and was very happy to hear it had opened back up, staff are friendly and food is lovely, but i am very dissapointed that on my visit today 10/8 /20 that all staff were wearing some sort of facecovering other than the person serving behind the counter, this is one of the first people you encounter and they should be giving you the confidence that the correct covid hygiene procedure's are being followed, i under stand there is a screen but this person serving had made our drinks and sliced my cake up with out there mouth or nose being covered whilst talking ....... stricter rules for staff behind the counter should be followed !!!!!"
