"After reading positive reviews of this cafe, we decided to bring an elderly friend for lunch. Driving through the beautiful Welsh countryside, we arrived at 12:45. We noticed a sign outside indicating the soup of the day and its price, which seemed promising. However, when we entered the cafe, we were asked if we had made a reservation. We had not, and were informed that they could only offer us dessert and a drink. Despite there being plenty of tables inside and outside, we were told there were no seats available indoors. We settled for a scone for lunch outside, noting that the cafe was empty when we left an hour later. The scone was enjoyable, but not filling enough for a lunch meal. Additionally, the outdoor restroom, Ty Bach, was concerning with an exposed electric socket and a warning sign about hot water. We left feeling extremely disappointed after driving a long distance to dine with our friend. The website had advertised a full menu and open hours, but we were not able to access the soup of the day as indicated on the door. It appears that booking in advance is required, and the toilet facilities are potentially dangerous. Proceed with caution if planning to visit."
