"Whilst staying at the adjoining holiday park we thought we would give this a go for some quick/cheap eats one eveing. Walking towards the premises we didn 't have high expectations, which was fine as all we wanted was some burgers and pizza. However, seeing the prices on the menu it was clear this was not 'cheap eats ' but a proper restaurant! We spent just over £60 for 2 adults and 2 kids which was mains, 2 pints and 2 kids soft drinks. When spending this amount usually we would be at a higher end restaurant or a nice country pub with proper home cooked food.So when we got served basic fast food meals we did feel a little duped! The food was alright, nothing wrong with it, but it felt more like a £30 40 meal tops. The staff were very 'hot cold ', one minute they were emotionless and unengaged and the next very chatty and accommodating! Drinks were very confusing, lots of advertising for cocktails so we asked for a couple only to be told they don 't do cocktails!?! So asked for a Malibu and pineapple (common drink I believe) but told they don 't have juice mixers! So asked for a Coors Light (as recommended in the menu as an accompanying drink for meal) but told they don 't have any!!!I 'll give this place the same feedback I have successfully given other park restaurants, and that is to put on food/drink offers to entice the guests on the park to use it we were the only people in there, on an Aug bank holiday evening so clearly people are staying away or going elsewhere! This should make the cost more comparable to the quality of food.If in the area I would come here again, BUT ONLY if they review their prices and sort the drink selection out."

"I had dinner here on mothering Sunday with my mum in law and 2 young children. It was obviously well booked up with a constant flow of people arriving, many who hadn't booked but were accommodated. It was lovely to see they hadn't increased their prices because it was mothering Sunday. We had a choice of 4 meats; beef, Turkey, gammon and chicken. Beautiful fresh vegetables cooked to perfection and not soggy or soft and overcooked. Stuffing, roast potatoes and parsnips are always the best here!! Gravy was slightly too watery for me but tasted lovely. My children are fussy and need persuading when it comes to vegetables but they both cleared their plates and enjoyed the ice cream and squash that came with their bargain £5.50 meal deal. My mother in law always has something to say when we eat out and isn't easily pleased but she couldn't stop praising the meal....and the rice pudding was a big hit for her!! Lovely staff and were asked a couple of times during our meal if we were ok and if we needed anything. We were finished by about 12.45 and could see that people were still flowing in steadily so we said we would vacate our table but told not to rush. I have to say, I always have a top Sunday dinner here and I can relax as there's enough room for the children not to feel they are confined to one place. Today they had a run around outside in the safe surroundings. Oh and the complimentary crayons and colouring in sheets were a big hit too....would suggest keeping this a regular thing....it entertained my two for a good 10 15 mins!"
