"I have always been a fan of Jasmine, our favorite Indian restaurant for the past 20 years (my mom even remembers when it first opened over 30 years ago!). The family that runs it is wonderful and the food is consistently fantastic. We made a reservation for my dad's birthday (coinciding with Mother's Day for my mom and grandmother). Since we hadn't been able to visit in person since the lockdown, this was a truly special occasion for us. When we arrived, we were seated in a cozy booth and given menus to choose from. Surprisingly, the restaurant was quite quiet with not many other diners present, even though we stayed for over 2 hours during Mother's Day weekend. The staff was very busy with takeout orders. We ordered a variety of dishes including Chicken Tikka Tandoori, Aloo Gobi, Korma, Plain Naan, Golden Chicken Curry, and Butter Chicken. The food was beautifully presented and hot, living up to Jasmine's usual high standard, with generous portions. For drinks, we ordered a bottle of water, two tonic waters, and two Cobra beers. The bill at the end of the night was very reasonable at just under £70, feeding four adults. The restaurant hasn't been redecorated in a while but is still clean, bright with nice details like branded hot serviettes and after-dinner chocolates. Parking is convenient with a free car park nearby. There is a step up into the restaurant and stairs to the restroom, so accessibility may be a concern. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow due to only two waitresses juggling takeout and dine-in customers. However, they were polite and happy to provide recommendations. Overall, it was a wonderful night of delicious food and great company, and I look forward to visiting again."

"I visited here with a friend for afternoon tea on 28 Aug. It’s a quaint little place -coloured tablecloth-we were offered a menu -afternoon tea was £14.50 for 2 or £8 per person The gentleman serving advise of the choices for sandwiches on the menu -Tuna, Ham, Egg Mayo, Cheese, Coronation Chicken Roasted chicken -a good choice however you only get one of these with your a/tea -also only one scone one piece of cake -there were only 2 cakes in the cabinet to choose a slice from To add to our tea we ordered another 2 sandwiches (4 rounds) -roasted chicken egg mayo -on the a/noon tea we had chosen tuna ham We chose Earl Grey tea as our drink When the stand arrived with sandwiches there were the tuna ham cut into very nice finger sandwiches. We had asked for white bread for the egg mayo granary for all the other sandwiches The gentleman brought 2 plates of triangle cut sandwiches with a side salad -cut into quarters -crusts still attached. The bread was lovely however we were expecting them to be delicate finger sandwiches The scones were very flat -they tasted ok As we chose not to have the cake the pieces were put it into 2 separate boxes bags For the cost of the tea it was good value the quality was also good. The two gentlemen waiting on were obliging. It was just strange when we had to choose sandwiches out of a good selection but you were only able to choose one filling-not what one expects for an afternoon tea. Other food was being served whilst we were there it all looked smelled delicious"
