"This charming family-owned pub serves delicious home cooked meals. We especially enjoy their Sunday carvery and make it a point to visit every week. My son, who is autistic, can have difficulty in certain settings but he always feels comfortable at the Globe. The staff always go out of their way to make sure he is well taken care of and he particularly loves the Sunday carvery. Of all the places we have tried in Porthcawl for Sunday lunch, the Globe is his favorite. We have also attended their Sunday evening quiz and were impressed by their affordable selection of wines and beer. A visit to this pub is definitely worth it!"

"Honestly this may be the worst dining experience I’ve ever had the displeasure of experiencing. There are the least inclusive restaurant I have been to. I don’t view my self a selective eater however the food there was not only old(my opinion) it was also poor tasting the meat was unseasoned and dry and the chips absorbed what little moisture was left in my mouth 1/10 do not go there"

"I have visited Pietro’s quite a few times over the last 15 years and until the most recent visit it always impressed me. Today, the cafe seemed lifeless despite the constant coming and going of customers. Despite bright sunshine outside the young staff looked totally depressed. There wasn’t a smile to be seen and they were all dressed in black uniforms which didn’t improve the mood. The ice cream we ate was good, but very basic. Just ice cream in a tub. No peach melbas or strawberry swirls! So much more could be made of this place with dynamic management."

"What a fantastic place! First impressions really matter, and this one did not disappoint. Upon entering, we were greeted by a large water dispenser on a vintage wooden cabinet, and shelves stocked with water bowls and dog blankets. There were three of these setups around the pub, and I must admit, it made me want to "borrow" a dog just to take advantage of the thoughtful amenities! The staff clearly wanted to make sure every member of the family, pets included, felt welcome. We returned for a meal the next evening, and the food was outstanding. We've realized we hold high expectations when dining out, but the quality here met those standards. If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend this place!"

"We popped in for a quick lunch on what was still a relatively busy Friday afternoon, but got served quickly and found a table easily. Tea was served in proper mugs at a decent strength, my BBQ chicken panini had proper chunks of chicken and was not drowning in sauce and to really top it off, the crisps were paired!! No half a dozen plain crisps, but a generous serving of roast chicken crisps!! Tasted great, lovely and fresh would definitely return!"

"Hannah hosted our wedding day/night she set the whole place up as we asked and listened to every fine detail we wanted! She hosted food and we had a grazing table+Sliced meat for food! The effort put into the food was exceptional and the taste was out of this world it was amazing. Hannah hosted games through the day and kept all the guest happy and occupied and made the whole event amazing! It Was a pleasure to have our wedding held there I couldn’t recommend Llangewydd arms any more than I have it’s an exceptional pub. Thank you so much to all the staff who made our day so special!"

"Visited Cinnamon to celebrate a special occasion and were greeted as soon as we walked through the door. The atmosphere was welcoming and the low-lighting gave it a lovely ambience. The food was great and the service was between 5-10 minutes. Can't wait for the next visit! Can't recommend enough"

"Really disappointed with meal and venue, nothing like as advertised on website, new to area and came across this place online, so thought we'd give it a go. My husband and I went, underwhelmed with deco, we ate in restaurant which they have tried to do up but it still doesn't meet the standard advertised, overcharged on drinks which I assume was due to us being served at the table, but I notice the website has since been updated with a revised drinks menu from April 2023, we attended 17th March. Cauliflower wings were swimming in oil, and my husband wasn't overly impressed with buffalo wings either. I had the rib eye and chips for my main which was overseasoned even for me, and my husband opted for the steak and ale pie, the peas tasted awful and mash inedible, reminded him of school dinners. Staff weren't attentive, and left unattended and without drinks or a steak knife. Would not re-visit."

"We had a birthday lunch there on the 8th July for my mother's 65 Birthday. Even though there were 17 of us, the meal and service were faultless, from starter to the coffee. Nothing was too much trouble for the girls waiting and the chef even came to chat to us. The cauliflower starter was a clear winner and I could've drunk the gravy out of a glass such was the depth of flavour. Good family run places of this quality are few and far between and I genuinely hope The Black Rabbit gets the support it deserves. We look forward to their taster menu coming out."

"My friend and I visited the cafe today with our two babies. We were quite shocked by the prices for lunch (the cheapest item, sandwiches were over £5) but ordered sandwiches, a hot drink and a slice of cake. Whilst waiting for our food to be delivered, we fed the babies food from home in the highchairs provided. The waitress was rather curt when delivering our food and we were very shocked when she returned to ask us that if we were going to feed the babies food from outside the cafe that we needed to be discreet so others didn't take advantage! Her manner was very short, bordering on rude and I've never been told to put food away before or made to feel it was a problem. There was no child's menu and £5.20 for a sandwich my 14 month old son would only nibble at, seems a little steep. Perhaps she wouldn't have complained if we were feeding them out of jars but I like to avoid them and there were no healthy options suitable for toddlers to buy. Other cafes we've visited are very baby friendly, offering to heat up food or bottles. It was a real shame as we'd enjoyed a lovely walk in the attractive grounds but being made to feel guilty in the cafe spoiled our visit. Even if our children were older, it seems very overpriced for the food on offer and if we were to return the only option would be to eat outside in the cold."

"I normally do everything I can to avoid calling takeaways for my order. The whole process is laborious and generally awkward not at Noble House. Everytime I place an order here, Im welcomed with a friendly greeting, my order is taken correctly, read back to me and I'm given a cost total and rough time without any prompting. This process is so smooth and effortless that it would make up for any small quality issues with the food. Once again this is not something you have to worry about with Noble House. The food is great and definitely in the top tier of Chinese takeaways available in the CF72 area. Everything has been great. Love the Hot and Sour soup, glorious Honey Ribs, Spot on Chow Mein and pretty much every other dish I've tried. Very noble indeed. My current go to Chinese."

"I went to the Indian Lounge with some friends for a meal. The service was good, we were greeted warmly and seated comfortably in the restaurant. We started with a chutney tray which we really enjoyed. For our main dishes, we had a variety of options. The Lamb Madras was fantastic, Garlic Chilli Chicken had a vindaloo sauce that was spicy but not too overwhelming, and the Chicken Tikka Masala was a delicious and flavorful mellow curry. The meals were all very well received and the service was efficient and friendly. The only downside was that the card machine was not working so we had to go get cash to pay, but it was not a big deal."

"As a party of ten we had just arrived in the area on holiday and needed dinner. Aimed for a nearby cafe which was not serving food so stumbled on Pyle Fish Bar. Ordered online and when we arrived to collect there was a bit of confusion over the order think they had suffered WiFi problems. But the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Took a little while to put the whole order together but the owner/cook enthusiastically insisted the food would be excellent and was all freshly cooked and he was true to his word. Fish and chips, meat and vegan burger, pasta dishes were all very tasty and well reviewed."

"This is one of our favourite places for coffee. We visit a few times a month for cappuccino and hot chocolates and cake which is delicious. It is usually pretty busy and waiting times are affected by this. We particularly love to sit outside which is a lovely area but the inside has a fantastic atmosphere. It is always clean and the servers are polite, friendly and professional despite usually being very busy. Highly recommended."

"Booked for 5 people Christmas Eve afternoon meal for my wife's birthday. It was busy but we were greeted quickly and seated in the restaurant at the back. Service was so friendly and welcoming, despite them being full. When they found out it was a a birthday, she even got a gin on the house! The food was really nice and excellent value. Wife and daughter both had a mixed grill, which was huge and extremely well cooked. The steaks (1 rare and 1 medium rare) were both done to perfection. There was also a home made steak pie (full of meat), duck in a nice plum sauce and my son was delighted with his barbecue sauce chicken and bacon. Also real homemade chips!! We really enjoyed it!"

"Ruchi is an award-winning Nepalese tandoori takeaway and produces absolutely beautiful food from an extensive menu. It's open all day from 12.00 (not Sunday and is situated nestling within the tiny streets of Nant-y-Moel on a car park adjacent to the site of the village's former railway station. The food offered is exotic and very tasty, various tandoori roasted meat dishes, crispy chicken burgers, yummy chips, various curries, (Gurkha chicken curry, anyone? , Kashmiri fish chips, and many, many more. It would literally take months to try everything on the menu. Ruchi is family-owned and long-established. Drive over, spend some money, thrill your taste buds! An easy 5 stars from me, deserves 10. For us, living in Cwmparc, it's a glorious 15-minute drive over Bwlch mountain."
