"Where do I start really?! Firstly, the guy who took me to my table, was extremely rude and aggressive. The who seemed to be the manager had no authorities whatsoever! With her permission, I sat on the next table that he has allocated to me with less cold air from AC, blowing to my head in such a cold night!, but when he came back and saw me, he started interrogating me so angrily in front of my friends, who just arrived and waiting to be sited. I could not even say hello to them and he made me extremely embarrassed Not for him to creat more scenes to avoid more scenes Deborah tables were exactly the same and could have easily been changed. But he would not have it!!!. The starters were half cold and was obvious they have been cooked before and warmed up in h microwave. the pizzas’s were horrible.our food we aware not served at the same time. they brought our drinks, only after we begged them 5 times to 5 different people! We had to bring our own plates and some cutleries etc from the close by drawers Has no Waitrose did, that ! The manager was a female who was rude with terrible attitude, no patience and aggressive too. She would banged the glasses on the table if you had asked for some and had no authorities either. When we asked to speak to the manager regarding all of the shortcomings, she didn’t even bother to come to our table. The staffs were awkward and quite inattentive. In such a small space, the horrible live extremely loud marching drum they played followed by extremely loud music when bring the cake for birthdays was the total torture and could damage your ear drums! They could see most people were so uncomfortable with this that happened at least 4 times last night but did not have any care for customers. I can’t believe they do this to their customers. it is a health hazard. If you have problem with your ears, do not go to this horrible restaurant."

"Having lived in the area for 16 years, I’ve never taken the opportunity of sampling the cuisine in this restaurant as a dine in or takeaway. Since the end of June/ beginning of July I have ordered 3 takeaways from from Kipling and encountered issues on all 3 occasions. First off their website doesn’t advise that the restaurant doesn’t open on a Tuesday therefore you can’t place an order on line. Despite pointing this out several weeks ago it hasn’t been updated. 2 weeks ago I place a simply order to the value of £23 and waited 20 minutes to collect. When I arrived and asked about my take away, my question drew blanks and I was told all takeaways had been collected! What they actually didn’t do was process my order and the receipt was still sticking out of their ordering machine. That was another 20 minute wait and they didn’t even offer me a drink or poppodoms. Just a cursory apology. Yesterday (02/08/20) I placed another takeaway order, collected the items, admittedly without checking the bag when I left the restaurant to find that my lamb Jalfrezi was missing. I asked the restaurant if they could deliver and the answer was no because I’d paid for collection and activated the 10% discount. So that was another trip and my wife ate by herself followed by me on my return. Again a cursory apology and no offered to make up for yet another inconvenience. We really do try to support local businesses during these difficult times, and everyone will have a different experience, however I am so appalled by the takeaway service that I will no longer be ordering from Kipling and I will be taking my business elsewhere. This business has a lot to learn about customer service which is all the more surprising given how long they have been established in this part of Hendon!"

The Greyhound Pub

"Hendon Central £4.90 Amstel A Village Pub In Urban Hendon. The Greyhound is located in Hendon Northwest London close to Middlesex University. The nearest Tube is Hendon Central, it’s a fifteen minute walk to get here. This pub was established in 1676 and rebuilt in 1898. The pub was originally a Church House and is still owned by a trust of St Mary’s Church. There are some notable people buried at the church, Sir Stamford Raffles the founder of Singapore and legendary Arsenal manager Herbert Chapman. This is a traditionally decorated three room pub that has a local village pub feel. The servery is located in the middle room and is clad in mahogany panels with brass fixtures and fittings. To the right of the servery is a cosy room that has the church’s Ten Commandments boards adorning one of the walls. To the left of the servery is a spacious bar area which is clad in beautiful wood panelling. There is also a real open fire surrounded by comfy chesterfield sofas. The beer selection is good and consisted of familiar favourites, London Craft and three cask ales. I decided on an Amstel, my pint was great, price point was pleasingly under a fiver. There is a classic pub grub menu available, Fish Chips costs £16.50. We visited on a Saturday lunchtime for a few jars before heading off to watch @saracensofficial up the road. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed with a few other punters dotted around the pub. The service was pleasant, the chap who served us was warm and welcoming. The pub hosts Quiz and Games nights and also Open Mic jams. Visiting @thegreyhoundhendon_ was a superb pub experience. I loved the setting, the village pub ambiance and the beer was reasonably priced. There were once fourteen pubs in Hendon, now there are only three, thankfully The Greyhound endures. If you’re ever in this part of town, be sure to visit this fantastic boozer. Info correct on visiting 20.04.24"

"kaifeng is in its own class when it comes to kosher restaurants in london. it is expensive (although they ask for their discount rate card for their next visit as it outputs), but it is worth eating fresh and tasty and service (on...fresh bed linen) attentive. coded precautionary measures are excellent. the set menus are the best worth and we were very full according to the average price per). the most important courses were wonderful. the Chinese tee was perfect and refills free and plentiful. drinks are usually expensive. there is a ok selection for vegetarian and a good fish selection, but this is first line a meat restaurant. the personal also dealt with the unconsidered behavior of a small number of guests who unfortunately all sat next to us. on a table they were loud, rude and sarcastic and then began to fluctuate in the restaurant, connected by another guy who also began to fluctuate. illegally in the united kingdom and they knew it too. we also had to have pie and they stopped (although then in Yiddish sassy was about us when they thought wrong, we wouldn't understand). a young couple managed to move tables away from these men, but no other table was available for the size of our party unfortunately. my advice is to sit down where it is quieter than the larger parties sitting up. as I said, the staff was concerned with these men effectively and professionally and our evening was not inappropriately affected."
