"We have come back to Bayernmichel several times, and we have never been disappointed. The restaurant is nicely and traditionally Bavarian style decorated, and we were there two days before the opening of this years Oktoberfest, and that was clearly visible in the room. The service is always excellent, although you inevitably need to wait some time for the main course, which is also stated in the menu, as good food takes time to prepare. The selection of food is traditionally Bavarian, and it is solid and very good. Personally, I always try to find the courses with their bratkartoffel - they are simply made so deliciously. The prices are low. We (two persons) had dinner with a first course, mains and two beers for just above 30 EUR.We will surely get back another time."

we were there for late supper and the food was surprisingly good, especially the Spargel. The desert was also good and was made especially for us.

We liked the service and the food very much. Our meal for 2 costed 24€ with beers included. The neighborhood is calm and cosy. The terrace is the best place to enjoy your meal.

We ate here twice while in Berlin and both times were superb. The food is well prepared and the service is friendly and efficient. There is a beautiful patio if you are there in the summer. Definitely give it a try!

Wow fab food I had the schweinsbraten, which was the most tenderist pork tasted in a sauce with dumplings and coleslaw. Hubby had the mushroom/dumplings vegetarian option. We also shared a starter of Obatzta which was cold soft cheeses with salad and bread. All food was excellent. Goal cost €32. Excellent value Voir le carte

If you want to try traditional dishes made of all parts of the pig this could be the place for you. You have to go there and read the menu to believe it. I did not like it but other in my group enjoyed the place. They also have 2 or 3 vegetarian choices if you do not like pork but these are not really much to talk about.

This place is good if you want Bavarian food to a low price. The place got the right atmosphere, at least for someone that have not been in Bavaria. The sausages are very nice and they have good beer as well. They also serve Pfälzer Saumagen, which is not Bavarian but still very nice and a bit exotic, even for Germans not from Pfalz. The service is ok.

Accidental find but excellent choice. We had planned on hitting another kneipe in the area but that place just down the street was just a little too tacky and we opted for Zum Bayernmichel. What an accidental but terrific find. Staff was really pleasant and the food was excellent. I had my usual Schnitzel and spargel...to die for. While the restaurant was not highbrow it was a great local hangout and if in town again I would make a special trip to seek it out. Thanks for such a terrific evening Voir le carte

Highly recommend this small, cosy, local, friendly, first rate restaurant half way down Bornholmer Strasse. Tasty, well cooked, home-style cooking......excellent quality, substantial and delicious. Relaxed and calm, warm and cosy, cheerful and good service plus great beer....and very reasonably priced. Bavarian style dishes. Not for vegans or vegetarians, I think, although the veggie options on the menu sounded substantial and delicious. Train connections very easy: Bornholmer Strasse or Schonhauser Allee.

Last week was my first visit to Berlin so my friend took me to this cute cozy place this is not your average tourist trap. We got a warm welcome from Nicolle and Mille, our lovely hostess and they recommended us the infamous Bavarian specialty: roast pork with dumplings (Schweinbraten mit Krautsalt und Semmelknödeln) and Nuremberg sausage with sauerkraut (Nürnberger Bratwürst´l, Sauerkraut und Kartoffeln). The pork was tender, juicy and well marinated. The sausage was crispy and the best part of all the food came in good portion size. Beer, wine and a variety of beverages were available but I recommend the "Blutwurz". Hey your meal is not completed without trying the "Butwurz"!Zum Bayernmich...
