Zizzi - Taunton - Carte

Zizzi chelmsford. Food was fabulous place great. Overcharged with our voucher but refund given would go again but need to check the bill carefully next time

I booked a table for 16 people for 7pm. Took just over an hour to get served, and then took another 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Food was bland and dry.

Zizzi continues to offer very good food at great value. Although it was extremely noisy (parties and high ceilings) it was still enjoyable.Excellent service too. Voir le carte

Resurant was clean and warm food good but a shame about the service.The waitress was unhelpful and not interested in us as a customer everything too much of an effort

We tried to cancel We rang and rang over a two hour period but they never answered. Lucky we were not trying to BOOK a table. Cannot review fairly. Of course 'Opentable ' make no provision for this.

do not use open table to book a table at zizzis, used it to book a table and got a confirmation email but the restaurant had no record of this. Luckily they had a table for us but service was awful, very slow, did not ask us if we wanted anymore drinks or if our food was okay. And our waitress was rude and inattentive. Voir le carte

Not as good in terms of value for money as it used to be there was very little chicken in the chicken salad dishes. New decor is quite nice but a bit 'fussy ' does feel and seem lighter, however. The new furniture is very nice, and the chairs are more comfortable than the old ones! The waitress, and staff however, were exceptional as always!

Zizzi's is never going to be haute cuisine, it used to be pretty good for a chain. Food was pretty average. We had a shared fritto misto small. It was mediocre at best. There was one prawn on the whole plate and the rest was not very appetizing. I had a side salad tomato and mozzarella salad. Compared to my last experience at Pizza Express this was I imaginative at best. Small diced tomatoes, small helping of cheese and 3 minute pieces of basil. Virtually no olive oil. I am not impressed, though they did give us some vouchers when we pointed all this out.

The menu at Zizzi is always great and the food is always well made, the Taunton restaurant is no exception and the service was excellent, our server even said they could get one dish made differently to suit a friends particular likes and dislikes. However there is a downside and that is the echoey interior, which is a shame because it is very stylish, but if you leave with a bit of a headache that soon ceases to matter. I admit that there was a particularly noisy table but I still see no reason why his sort of thing isn't expected and why there isn't more done to soften the effect of this for the comfort of all diners.
