"Nice location on the steep section of Saddler Street leading up to the cathedral. Very popular with uni students and their parents. Durham students tend to have money to dine out, unlike in my student days where restaurant dining was rare to non-existent. The vegan options here, just as at any other Zizzi, are excellent including a bruschetta and garlic bread. I always do like a garlic bread as my Starter for 10'. As well as pizza they also have a couple of pasta dishes such as the lentil ragout and classic spaghetti pomodoro. Always a winner and extremely tasty if done correctly, which it was today. It accompanied the pepperonata pizza (with smokey chilli base for an extra £1) perfectly. The interior is pleasant and rustic, but the big windows do lead to some exposure to anyone walking past as you sit and have your meal. Next time a seat overlooking the river downstairs would be my preferred option."
