Yming - Menu

Love this place!. A great selection of authentic tasting regional Chinese dishes. If you're looking for greasy noodles and crispy duck, this isn't the place for you.

I wanted to try something different than royal china. the food was cooked well and delicious, although some work on the presentation would be great. the selection of foods was good.

YMing is a strange old place, despite having bilingual menus and being within shouting distance of Chinatown, it attracts few Chinese diners. For some that's a bad sign as received wisdom has it that the authenticity and quality

Loved it One of the oldest Chinese restaurants just off soho/Chinatown in the slightly more desirable Romily/Greek Street area of London. Food here was second to none with a very modern twist on some traditional recipes. Service excellent, definitely would eat here again!

Overall the food was tasty and very filling none of us had room for dessert. The service was very friendly and attentive. Although prices were a little higher than similar cuisine establishments in the area, the quality of the food, setting and service made it worth the increase.

yming heard about it after good reviews. the restaurant is cozy and the staff very friendly. we had a set menu for £25, so we could taste different dishes. we have pre-ordered that soho is particularly busy Saturday nights. yming is at the rande of chinatown, so it was left the people traffic on the road, which was a welcome change would recommend.

a Chinese restaurant that I would keep decent and clean. quieter place and a place to eat good food. a veggie suppe that is so delicious. to follow is the emptying that is not difficult (as it is at most places) and then by a veggie dress (good for veggie menschen), then a squirting hot garnels so good and another cut meat that is so normal, not offer and they can enjoy a glass of wine in their choice.

6/10 for eating with bit weired service in contrast to a Chinese restaurant. I went yming on the last Friday night at 18:30. there are so light blue walls in the restaurant that they can find the restaurant from far away. the service was different than a Chinese restaurant, they try to be posh restaurant. it was gunned and I felt uncomfortable. I asked a waiter about the recommendation for the dishes, but he did not answer me stright away, so I chose two appetizers, two main dishes and two rice (for two people) . that costs us 60 pounds! too expensive for the dishes. eating was only average. I would not go back to the future! avoid this restaurant.

Yming is a bit different to the other Chinese restaurants in Soho. Set back from Chinatown on the corner of Greek and Romilly streets it is without the usual decorations and accoutrements associated with the trade. The decor is uncomplicated and modern, and the ambiance is a bit like an upmarket family restaurant, where the owner Christine and her front of house man William know everyone and welcome them back as old friends. It is sedate, without the noise and hustle of nearby Gerrard Street, and you can sit down and relax with a glass of wine here in the center of Soho without feeling rushed to finish.
