"Booked a table for Monday night dinner. From the moment we arrived, we felt the waiting staff wanted us to order, eat our meal and leave as soon as possible. Not ideal for a leisurely post lockdown dinner with friends I hadn’t been out with for a year.Menu was quite limited, which was fine for us meat eaters but meant little choice for the vegetarian in our party. In fairness, the food was fine so no complaints there. But the constant hurrying us along got very wearing. We were rushed to order our mains, rushed to decide whether we wanted dessert, rushed to pay the bill. I could have understood this if the restaurant was busy or indeed we were the last party left but neither was the case. By the end of the meal, the waitress had cleared every last glass and item possible (while we were still sat at the table) to encourage us to leave. In the end, we were told the restaurant was closing at so we left (along with quite a few other diners who were still there).As a result, it rather ruined the atmosphere of our dinner so we won’t be returning. We thought that restaurants would be keen to recoup the lost revenue from covid restrictions and would be encouraging customers to stay and keep spending but that wasn’t the case on this occasion. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but hopefully this is a minor issue that is easily remedied."

first visit here and very impressed by the entire experience. eat 9/10, service 10/10. surprisingly not so busy. also tried to book directly through vintage inns and said fully booked, also other restaurant app said no availability. this had availability and resturant was half empty when the afternoon arrived at 1:30 o'clock, so if the owner/manager reads that, it is worth looking at, as they probably lose a lot of business while other booking platforms that do not work!

Also tried booking direct via vintage inns and said fully booked, also other restaurant app said no availability. This one had availability and Resturant was half empty when arrived at 1.30pm in the afternoon. So if the owner/manager is reading this it’s worth looking into as they’re probably losing a lot of business whilst paying for other booking platforms that don’t work!
