"We have been going to Yadgar for years, either to eat before a concert or to buy large quantities to take home and freeze (which freezes very well, by the way). They serve the most delicious home-style curries and the owner, Fred, is very friendly. Since there aren't many people around looking for lunch or takeaway, I imagine business might be tough. So, if you're in the Northern Quarter, go support this local Manchester institution. You won't be disappointed if you're a true curry fan!"

Rice and vegetarian three: spinach/potato, daal, aubergine. Also fried cod. Was excellent as always, highly recommended.

Best food I’ve had all year ! Lamb Nahari is great! Can’t recommend it enough , it’s not fancy decor but just enjoy the food

During my business trip to Manchester, I dined at Yadgar Cafe for dinner. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. I am excited to visit again in the future.

The food at The Yadgar is excellent and the service is always friendly. I have been coming here for over 20 years and I often place bulk orders with just a day's notice. I highly recommend that everyone give The Yadgar a try!

There are many rice and threes about the northern quarter but some of the more well known ones such as this and that make bland boring veggie dishes. Yadgar smashes it out the park every time. If you like curry you need to go here!

I'd say the food is good, but it's the half size portions that let it down. Been to yadgar a few times over the years. Hasn't changed much at all. Food is tasty enough, home type cooking, but for the same price £6.50) you can get a fully loaded portion of rice and a full portion of curry and without all the oil at places nearby, like Kabana or This and That or other places not too far away.

I have been a resident of the Northern Quarter for almost 19 years and have visited most of the local rice 'n ' three curry establishments which have come and gone over the years. In my humble opinion Yadgar serves by far the tastiest curries and is the only one I still go to regularly. All the curries available are most flavoursome; my current favourites are the chicken and the aubergine, both of which are sensational.

I’ve been coming here for years and realised I had never posted a review. It’s rice and 3 curries has never been less than delicious and excellent good value. It’s cash only and certainly without frills but if you’re after good quality ‘home cooked’ curry then it’s the best in Manchester. It’s not been as busy post pandemic and has been affected by more people working from home. Good individual places like this need support!

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
