"Lovely meal from start to finish! The members of staff were very friendly, we had a lovely chat with one of the ladies about food recommendations and local activities. We ordered: Cheese soufflé absolutely stunning Fillet steak beautifully cooked to our liking, seasoned well and accompanied by delicious chips and salad. I changed my chips for dauphinois. Creme brûlée absolutely gorgeous, lovely vanilla custard with the perfect caramelised top served with a homemade ginger biscuit. Can’t recommend this place enough, great food, wine and service!"

"I wish I could have stayed at the WH for more than one night. The warm welcome upon arrival and confirmation of our dining arrangements set the tone for a great stay. The first floor accommodation required some caution when accessing, with a narrow and steep staircase, but assistance was readily available if needed. My room was warm and cosy, located at the rear of the building with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, which better suited my needs, and was spotlessly clean with everything in working order. The restaurant was busy on the Bank Holiday Monday evening, but the service was excellent and the quality and presentation of the dishes were exceptional. Breakfast offered a wide selection of dishes to accommodate different tastes, from Continental to a Full on Yorkshire breakfast. The staff were helpful, efficient, and not intrusive. Checking out was simple, but leaving so soon for a long journey home was a shame. I hope to return for a longer stay if the opportunity arises."

"I placed a takeout order at the restaurant for 4 starters, 4 main dishes, and 3 naan breads. The man at the counter asked if I would be paying in cash and offered a 10% discount, which I agreed to. He said the order would be ready in 40 minutes and suggested I go for a drink across the road while I waited. When I returned to pick up my order, I was charged over £27 per person for each meal, which I found to be extremely overpriced. There are no prices listed on the website and they do not inform you of the cost when you place your order. I recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs!"

"My recent dining experience at this restaurant left me with mixed feelings. The food was undeniably delicious, and the flavors lingered positively. However, my enjoyment was marred by the subpar service, particularly due to the male waiter's lack of interest and poor attitude. Additionally, I was troubled by the unfortunate labeling of the disabled toilets as “non runner.” I find this term not only disrespectful but also discriminatory towards individuals with disabilities. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of awareness, as I had hoped we had moved past using language that could be considered offensive. I believe it's essential to address this issue in order to create a more inclusive and respectful atmosphere for everyone."

"If I could give 10 out of 5 stars, I definitely would! I took my mother to this fantastic restaurant for a birthday surprise for her 81st birthday on September 1st. Both my mother and father used to love coming to Tennants Auktionshaus to shop, so I knew this would be a very special and memorable birthday dinner. And I was not disappointed! We were warmly welcomed by a attentive and knowledgeable restaurant manager upon arrival, and were given the choice of where to sit. The restaurant was elegantly designed and decorated, with all the tables looking very stylish. We chose our dishes from a wonderful and diverse menu, with prices that were incredibly reasonable for such high-quality food. The presentation of the dishes was excellent as well! As an added touch to our meal, the manager surprised my mother with a birthday card signed by all the staff in the restaurant, along with a box of handmade chocolates, which was a lovely and unexpected gesture that my mother truly appreciated. To our delight, while we waited for our main course, we were treated to a tray of two delicious appetizers. The food was beautifully presented and incredibly flavorful. After our meal, we indulged in some desserts from an enticing selection, which were once again excellently presented, with amazing flavors and aromas. Kudos to the chefs for their outstanding work! We ended our meal with coffee and tea, and the manager had yet another lovely surprise for my mother from the chefs - a platter of assorted petit-fours with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate, complete with a small candle to blow out. I can't thank the staff enough for making my mother's birthday so special and unforgettable with their attentive service, pleasant atmosphere, and delicious and creatively prepared dishes that were of the highest standard. I have no doubt that we will return and will certainly recommend this restaurant to our friends."
