"Yet again we arrived at Ribbles two years on from taking Eldest Grandson to Ribbles for a birthday treat. This time was the turn of his younger brother. on both occasions the boys (aged 8 9) asked for something not on the menu, and on both occasions the staff were only pleased to accommodate them. spending quality time talking to their young customers. On both occasions we, has a family enjoyed quality food, service and conversation. We live approx 45mins away but will be back again soon."

"I pre-ordered a Christmas Afternoon Tea through Facebook, and I can't recommend this service highly enough. The communication during my inquiry was excellent, the delivery was made right to my door, and the Afternoon Tea itself was absolutely delicious. There was a wonderful selection of savory treats, a great variety of sandwiches, and the cakes and scones were incredibly tasty. I would definitely recommend this service and will certainly order again. Thank you so much—10/10! Service: Takeout."

"If I could I would give 0 stars. Extremely disrespectful staff for a whole £15 which mentions a mix grill platter on the menu they didn’t give any platter or a proper mix grill they only gave one plate which was full of salad a few odd chips some rice and a very small portion of the chicken that couldn’t even feed one person let alone as a mix grill for two people. The burger was cold after waiting 45 minutes for the food so I asked them to reheat which they did but were rude and calling after me whilst I’m walking to the table. Would not recommend the shwarma burger at all the shwarma wrap was okay but too bland and plain no spices or taste involved at all. At that point I just wanted to eat my food I was really hungry after the long wait yet one arrogant small minded waiter came by to pick a fight with me when it wasn’t even my own food I sent to get warmed as had come with friends and didn’t want anyone to eat cold food. Anyways he came to our table specifically to pick a fight with me and ruin our food more than it was already. Absolutely disrespectful waiters not a restaurant in any terms downright sexist men attacking on us ladies that were on our own and think they get away with disrespecting women since there was no man with us. I don’t know if they were Muslim but if so then astagfirullah as we are Muslim too but know respect when it is shown and this was absolutely disgusting there’s no words that can explain how they made me feel. These words do not sum up how much anxiety and how much those stupid men disheartened me and tried to fight me for no reason when it was their own fault. The food was raw if you go then go at your own accord because the raw chicken will make you ill. Absolutely disgusted appalled and for the first time in my life it will be my first time and last time at a soo called restaurant but more of a takeaway."

"The restaurant is spacious with seating for approximately 80 people, decorated in warm browns and golds. Despite the rainy Sunday evening, the staff were welcoming and knew many of the customers by name. I enjoyed a variety of dishes from the extensive menu, starting with poppadoms and a selection of delicious pickles. The Shami Kebabs and Kathmandu Chicken were both flavorful and satisfying, accompanied by fluffy pilau rice and a sweet Peshwari naan. The attentive staff, including a waiter named "Moon," provided excellent service. I learned that Moon had used his earnings from working at The Bengal Spice to fund his university education in Artificial Intelligence. My meal concluded with a complimentary shot of Baileys. Parking may be challenging during peak times, but I had no issue on this occasion. The total cost of my meal was £34.70. I highly recommend The Bengal Spice for its delicious food and friendly service. After my meal, I took a leisurely stroll around Holmfirth, a charming town known for its history in weaving and cloth making. Despite the absence of Nora Batty and other "Last of the Summer Wine" characters, the town was filled with friendly locals and a few quality menswear shops. Overall, my experience at The Bengal Spice was delightful and I look forward to returning."

"I recently dined here with a group of my golfing friends to celebrate our ‘end of tour’. As this year’s winner I got to choose where we went for our meal and I chose here. This was based on a meal my wife and I had had a week or so earlier where we really enjoyed the food. I was a little nervous as it’s not the biggest of restaurants and there were 13 of us. However I needn’t have worried as everything went smoothly from being warmly greeted when we arrived to paying the, very reasonable, bill at the end. The restaurant is clean and bright, the service good and courteous and the food lovely. Portion size is about right and the food served piping hot on pre-heated plates. Everyone afterwards said how much they’d enjoyed what they had. I’ll definitely return to try some of the other dishes on the menu and wouldn’t be surprised if next years ‘end of tour’ celebration was here too.
