"This place was such a beautiful surprise this morning. It was almost complete inside and we had no reserved table. The staff did a great job because quickly manage to provide us with an available table but also with a child seat for our child. All the staff elements have been very friendly and helpful during the entire meal, which is not the standard in Bavaria must be said. The food was good/excellent no issues at all, they don't provide too many options but the ones available were very well made. Absolutely recommended for the Bavarian food experience. One of the best reasons why we're so happy to find Wirtshaus Hohenwart is because we live nearby :-)"

Traditionally decorated restaurant in the heart of Giesing. Always friendly and fast service. Food is very good local food, nothing fancy but honest German food that takes your hunger away.

Talking about food, this is a pretty traditional restaurant. Good and abundant food, within a typically Bavarian atmosphere. And there's an old fashioned bowling alley, which, helped by the good beer, makes the night just fly away!

My husband and I loved the food and the ambiance. Nice, friendly people and servers. Even though they didn't speak great English and our German is not good, we were able to order and enjoy. They even helped our friend who is Vegetarian find something to have! Within easy walking distance of our hotel, in a lovely old bldg.

Normally those places are run by the "known wolves" in Munich. This one isn't! It there has a fresh and modern atmosphere, while keeping all the usual tradition in place. Amazing combination in my eyes. Also this places has some hidden secrets to find out for everyone ;-) Food is good, prices are fair...a bit long waiting time but all good !

Me and my friend ate here over the Christmas period on a Saturday night. The restaurant is located outside the touristy parts of Munich so it has a great local feel to it. We had such a great time. The food was great, but the waiters there were the highlight. They provided us with great recommendations and free desserts when we couldn't decide!Highly recommend.
