"Der Ort Katzenbach ist ein kleiner Weiler mit wenigen Landwirtschaftlichen Betrieben und Wohnhäusern in einer wunderschönen nordhessischen Mittelgebirgslandschaft, zu erreichen über einen geteerten Wirtschaftsweg welcher zuweilen etwas eng ist, insbesondere bei Gegenverkehr, trotzdem ist der Gastronomiebetrieb Der Katzenbacher unbedingt empfehlenswert, ein Geheimtipp sozusagen, tolles Essen, umfangreiche Menükarte, sehr nettes und aufmerksames Bedienpersonal, Preise moderat und die Portionen machen satt. Man kann dort auch durch die Wälder wandern wobei die Ausschilderung der Wege als dringend Verbesserungswürdig zu bezeichnen ist. Die Parkplatzsituation ist begrenzt, es gibt einige Stellplätze an dem Gasthaus und wer zuerst kommt, mahlt zuerst. Wer sich zum Katzenbacher aufmacht, sollte vorher unbedingt einen Tisch reservieren, das Restaurant ist immer sehr gut besucht, es gibt allerdings auch im Wettergeschützten Aussenbereich reichlich Platz wer nicht so gerne drinnen speisen möchte. Ebenfalls erwähnenswert ist die wirklich kurze Wartezeit zwischen Aufgabe der Bestellung und dem Servieren der Getränke und Speisen. Fazit: Rundherum gelungene Gastronomie mit schönem Ambiente und wunderschöner Landschaft, uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert. Ich war bereits öfter mit mehreren Personen dort und freue mich immer auf das nächste Mal. An der B62 liegt der Ort Kombach und von da aus geht 's zum Katzenbacher in Katzenbach, Marburger Hinterland. Viel Spaß dort."

"The food is a restaurant as it always existed and exists everywhere at any time. The equipment fluctuates between rustic and other, the audience consists of almost all ages. In the rear part there is a bowling alley which is always well visited and is therefore fully booked in the long term, where you are perfectly supplied with beverages and salty thick manufacturers for a place such as the Biedenkopf. But now to the restaurant. Here it can happen to you that several alcoholic beverages (in this case wines) are sold out without the staff. The rest of a bottle of aperetif was then crowned out of embarrassment and wrote half a glass on one of the two persons who had previously failed with almost every wine order from the card until then. The service moved here and there, but you had to wait for food and that was not the first time because the evaluation is based on the opinion of various people who were together and alone there at different times. Between the order and the time of food intake can happen well and like an hour and more. Reasons (in German and English) we have only one cook. Do other restaurants have more chefs? No, but it's much faster in many places. A small basket with tiny rolls and a fingertip full of quark is now preserved to bridge the suffering time. The quality of food is good at all times. Varied, beautifully dressed, but the plates cook hot (but one is pointed out). The portions are focused on hunger, so satisfaction comes. But if you don't come long, it's the service. Sometimes the guest wants to drink or maybe even pay... The latter was the reason for the delay, one would have only one portemonaise. What? The prices for the beautiful evening in a waiting position should actually allow the purchase of several waiter clips without thereby triggering a financial slate. When the bubble presses during waiting, the gear is highly recommended for the clean position. Conclusion: For an aging city like Biedenkopf this restaurant is quite acceptable. You should preorder, parking is available directly at the house and if you actually have everything together (i.e. a l e people at the table have their food and the ordered drinks are also available in sufficient quantity), it can be a nice evening. What would be good to do with the restaurant is a penalty at the time of preparation, the frequency of an intermittent service at the table and also a certain basis of basic knowledge when the guest requests a recommendation from the drinks. I wish the restaurant for the future all the best, even if I no longer return there because of the criticisms mentioned before the age of retirement."

"Wir haben heute hier zum ersten Mal bestellt. Ein Nudelgericht, eine Pizza und einen Salat. Es wahr der absolute Wahnsinn. Ich hab wirklich selten sooo gute italienische Gerichte gegessen. Es war alles perfekt. Super frisch, große Portionen und sehr sehr lecker. Der Pizzateig war unbeschreiblich gut. Der mit Abstand beste Italiener, den ich kenne. Hier werden wir noch sehr oft bestellen. Grazie mille für das tolle Abendessen."

"Wir hatten Familien Pizzen abgeholt (Sonderregelung außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten) für eine Geburtstagsfeier. Die Pizza war so lecker, dass wir nochmal zum Essen vor Ort waren. Gut besucht (Reservierung empfohlen) nahezu ausgebucht haben wir gleichwohl einen Platz (zeitlich befristet) erhalten. Toller Service und Essen ebenfalls gut. Das Restaurant ist direkt am Schwimmbad ‍ gelegen. Da wurden Erinnerungen an die gute alte Zeit dort wach. Neu renoviert ist der Gastraum einladend und wird durch eine Terrasse bestens ergänzt."
