Went for drinks and dinner after work. Portions of food were tiny. The condiments table was full of empty broken sauce bottles. Nadine the waitress was rude as she has been the last 3 times

Upon arrival I was left with a gift of durex lubrication from the previous guests. I didn't complain until I was left with a smoking fine for 100 pounds for smoking out the window. When I called to complain about this ridiculous bill they said that they had a very strict smoking policy. I response I said I have a very strict lubrication policy! Never again for me!

The Pilgrims Progress pub is Bedford town centre. Very close to the shops and bus station and the main railway station is a short walk away. I am not aware of any parking facilities however there is a multi-storey car park across the road.If you have ever been to a Wetherspoons pub you will know what to expect. When I visited the pub was clean and tidy as were the toilets.

Terrible experience! Visited with a group of friends. We all went to the bar, I was the last in my group to be served and I was refused service. The lady at the bar falsely accused me of being drunk which I definitely was not. I then found myself surrounded by the door staff and was asked to leave. They didn’t want to listen to reason, I felt discriminated against and the situation was very unjust. I would recommend avoiding this place to spare others from this horrible experience.

We had just finished eating at 9pm and were told we had to leave as 1 of our party was 17 and according to the manager it is the law that under 18s cannot be in the pub after 9pm. This is not the case legally so when questioned it changed to local policy to keep their license.. Will not be back in a hurry due to the way they treated my group of 5, that's 5 families that now will not be going back there. If you want a quiet meal it is not going to happen when the staff dont want you in there

Food okayish, service abysmal. Ordered on the Wetherspoon app. Ordered wine with ice and coke no ice and a straw. Coke came with ice no straw. Wine came wit no ice. There were 6 in the party, 3 children and 3 adults. All in a good mood as just attended Winter Wonderland. Childrens' meals came with one set of cutlery. Adults meals came with no cutlery. I asked the waitress for the rest of the cutlery. Waitress came back and dumped the cutlery wrapped in one serviet on the table. We then had to ask for additional serviettes. When thes arrived these then we replaced more politely on the table in contrast to the cutlery. Service at this Wetherspoon was never good but this time it was appallingly...

Happily surprised doesn't quite cut it! For the budget price of £62 for a Friday night, I wasn't holding out for anything special, however, from the polite and helpful receptionist who checked us in, to the spotlessly clean, quiet, comfortable room and en-suite and finally, the respectable 11am checkout time, everything was as good as a premium hotel chain. In fact, I have paid far more to stay in far shabbier rooms. Clean, comfortable, air con, a piping hot shower and surprisingly well sound proofed considering our room overlooked a busy road outside, which, conveniently, was directly opposite a multi storey car park, which cost £11 from around 17:30 on the Friday, to 11:00am on the Saturda...

Popped in just for food with wife and friends. Ordered at bar, when meals arrived two were very lukewarm and two weren’t what we ordered. Cue stroppy apparent senior member of staff, very rude thinking cos we are old we are dozy. Easy to dispel that myth, sharp as they come we are. So two of us eating our already cool food (deffo already cooked and hanging about because it came inside minutes of the order) and two waiting for what we actually ordered (we got order repeated to us by barman when made and it was fine so clearly kitchen problem). DO NOT STAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. PEE STAINED MATRESSES THAT THEY HAD TRIED TO COVER WITH A DUVET THAT WAS THEN COVERED WITH A SHEET, SOFA BEDS THAT COLLAPSE. AND WHEN WE ASKED IF OUR ROOM COULD BE CHANGED WE WERE TOLD WE CAN BUT HAVE TO PAY A FEE EQUIVALENT TO ANOTHER NIGHTS STAY. MANAGEMENT JUST IGNORED OUR COMPLAINT AND TOLD US TO EMAIL IN ON MONDAY. WE ENEDED UP CHECKING OUT A DAY EARLY BUT WERE TOLD OUR MONEY WOULDNT BE REFUNDED.The pull out bed kept collapsing so 2 of the guests had to sleep on the chair.
