Weinstube (im Hilton Mainz)

The dinner we had here was served buffet style, with lots of local specialties. The quality of the food and the service were very good.

There are many good restaurants in Mainz. I would not recommend eating at the hotel. Our food was not that good, very dry and bland. Salads were very good however.

Nice terrace with river view. Especially a warm August night was really relaxing. Staff is very kind, but slow and inattentive. The food is reasonable, and at Hilton prices not inexpensive. Voir le carte

While the breakfast buffet offers a nice variety of foods, I cannot recommend dinner a la carte in the evening. There is not a big variety of meals to chose from and the price for a Cesar Salad is definitly too high.

We arrived really late just made last orders in the restaurant, both food service were really good. breakfast was equally as good with a fantastic choice, again all the staff we came in contact with were very friendly helpful.

Had breakfast and dinner here. B-fast was standard Hilton with a good choice of cold and hot dishes. I never tried the dinner buffet and opted for the a la carte food. This was quite good albeit a bit uninspired but that goes for most...hotels. All in all an OK experience Voir le carte

Was there with a group of colleagues in April. Took all inclusive buffet with drinks. On question if it would be possible to take certain drinks, waiter was plainly responding NEIN . The other staff members were ok. But this one waiter was rude. It was...clear he didn't like us to be there, although we were hotel quests. Food was abundant but quality average.

I write this review purely to commend the service I received from Wolfgang at the Weinstube restaurant. My experience was service Excellence delivered with panache and friendliness. Wolfgang went out of his way to meet every customers need and I felt he anticipated our needs...before any request. I travel to all parts of the world and always find Germany not to be a customer focused one, but Wolfgang sets a precedent to be reckoned with. The Hilton Mainz has an asset with him serving at their hotel.

So, enjoyed a great breakfast by means of a breakfast buffet during my stay here, can only say good things about the breakfast. Why mixed feelings? It has to do with the dinner I had, which really was a poor performance. In all fairness, the...salmon appetizer was really good, so good so far. The chicken club sandwich was a complete nightmare, it took about minutes to serve which I could have accepted if the actual sandwich was good. Unfortunately the chicken had to be looked for with a microscope and whatever chicken was on the sandwich did not look attractive (I decided not to eat it and sent it back).
