"We spent three days in Bacharach, and this was one of our favorite meals! We didn't do the full 15-variety wine carousel, but instead chose to do the 7-variety "Estare Wines" sampler. I got a cheese and bread plate to go with it, which was huge! I ended up taking almost half of it back to my guesthouse and eating it later on the balcony with a bottle of Reisling that I picked up at the affiliated wine shop a few doors down from the restaurant."

Make sure that you stop here for the for wine tasting, it's really a lot of fun with a lot of great wines. We ended up ordering a couple glasses of ones that we liked. Great service and ambience.

They have a nice patio and a good selection of local wines. I saw several tables doing a tasting and that looked like fun. I had a light dinner of sausages, bread, pickles and onions with my wine. Perfect.

My companions and I ended our Rhine River cruise by visiting Bacharach and found the Weingut Fritz Bastian wine bar/restaurant. Bacharach is a lovely, quaint town so ending our day with a 12 selection wine flight was fun. Then we headed back to the Shonburg Castle Hotel for more breath taking Germany beauty.

by chance we went into the green tree. the wine was great (greyburgunder and lateburgunder), the pub was very lasy with tile oven. just the right after a naval ride. for eating we had flammpie with salmon and garnel: super delicious and sülze with warm potato salad: also very tasty.The service was very courteous and nice. and the toilets super clean (I find extremely important).

We stopped in for a light lunch after a blistering hot morning touring in Bacharach. The flammkuchen was generously portioned and very tasty, and we had some nice local wine. It was a little early in the day for us for the wine tasting so I can't speak to that :) A good sign that there seemed to be quite a few locals as well as tourists. It is an easy walk to the KD ferry dock if you are travelling by boat.
