service and eating were very good, great atmosphere all at a reasonable price. had there a very good dinner with friends.

During opening hours 3x (17.05am); 17.20 a.m.; 17.35) tries to reach the shop to reserve a table.Nobody goes to the phone.Can you do this, but you can't.

Excellent food, super-friendly staff, insulan ambience. Whoever visits Helgoland and likes fish is a recommendation for Weddigs Fischerstube. We were twice a guest and would always come back!

in the underland a little hidden, but very much worth looking for. much better eating compared to many restaurants on the main roads. seafood were great. remarkably friendly and accommodating service. beautiful maritime decoration.

Helgoland is a German island in the middle of the North Sea, and Weddigs make publicity with the above slogan in their private little newspaper. So we were very curious to taste their fish dishes of which they offer quite q variety in their dinner...card. People eat very early in this region. So try to be there at 18h or reserve a table. We especially recommend the Seehecht (herring hake) with vegetables which is really delicious and should be accompanied by a local Duckstein beer. if you are going to go to helgoland , it is a highlight to eat crabs. poor man 's lobster ! at the fischer stube you get a very large portion and it is pure ! i like to eat it with mayonnaise. don 't forget to...eat bread as well and have a schnaps (helbig) in between and afterwards as the proteins are difficult to digest. you should make a reservation and ask if knieper is available it is possible to rent a whole room for a party. decor is a bit boring , very average german. nothing special. anyway the food is world class. i was in naples in florida last winter and paid for 1 leg 25 !!!!

This little place on Helgoland is a traditional decorated fishrestaurant which also has a really nice steak on the menu. First of all you should make a reservation if going there just to be on the save side! The interior is in the style of...what you would expect of a sailor's pub, but not that overcrowded and that dark. Especially the shrinkheads on the wall (no they are not real) are really nice. The fish is exellent and if you happen to be there during the Knieper Season, try it! It's something you'll only get on Helgoland (it's a special kind of crab) and it is worth having it! Although getting to the meat does involve some work of your own but isn't that the fun of it? Portions are real...

We had reserved, but were prevented from picking up a table from the reserved ones. The young, blonde, little waitress Pagenschnitt was right there. Yes, the tables are reserved in front of the restaurant, but we would like to get in the hall. But we would like to sit at a table in the sun, please sit in the hallway.
