"Very good dining, exceptional service. Above all a really nice blend of smart dining but in a really relaxed setting. They’ve achieved a really good balance between making a visit feel special but without making it too formal, i.e: you’re very much able to relax...but it’s still a restaurant worth visiting. I’m lucky as it’s local, but if I wasn’t, I’d happily travel an hour to get to The Bustard Inn; it’s worth it. Place looks nice, proper country pub restaurant, food is stunningly presented. We had three courses, each and every one elicited an ‘oooh’ when it was put in front of us. Didn’t just look nice, everything was delicious too, cooked just right, good judgement of how many flavours and which ones would work well together. Definitely an experience worth recommending, when friends come to visit from outside the area it’ll be our ‘go to’ place when we want to impress a bit but more importantly have a lovely night."

"We choose this spot because of the many positive reviews. I guess we turned up on a bad day!I have only been introduced to coffee a few years ago despite being in my mid 50’s and really don’t like coffee unless a well made flat white. I travel the world frequently for work and always ask the same question, can you make a flat white? The reason being unless the person is a passionate barista I rarely get a coffee I enjoy. This question clearly upset the lady serving us who ‘rolled her eyes out loud’ by the question and then represented the request to her colleague in a manner that was more like ‘we have a pain in the arse’ than ‘can we make this gentleman a nice coffee. (Yes we overheard).Everything was fine except the flat white was a milky coffee and not something I enjoyed. Not a problem though. I never said a word but when asked at the counter how things were I thought I would say everything was good except the ‘flat white’. Immediately confronted by both in very hostile way was very surprising as I was only answering a question I thought they were interested in hearing I placed a review on their website and their response is a really good example of their attitude. Instead of focusing on service recovery they wanted to blame me and absolve themselves of any responsibility.I of course mentioned this to a few people in Sleaford and surprise surprise was met with very similar responses, ‘we don’t go there anymore as the staff can be very rude’ Looking forward to seeing how the proprietors decide to respond to this one."

"Under new management. Totally refurbished and with a new chef we ate here off the Bistro menu. The staff were keen to please and very efficient. The food was of an incredibly high quality. The small plate starters were a fantastic opening followed by the gin cured salmon. The beef pave was cooked perfectly and served with real thought. Having eaten at the old Solo this was definitely a step up. Real Bistro dining in the heart of Sleaford. The web site on Trip Advisor is now incorrect. Try thesolo.bar/ ."

"Always loved this place. Went to book my birthday dinner and was told, “you can come at 6 but you have to promise to be out by 745.” I had to beg to be booked in despite the fact their phone was down and I had to go down there and book in person. What kind of customer service is that?? When I asked to place a dessert order, she frowned like it was the biggest imposition of the night. Never going back. I have spent so much money there and never again."

"I had a delightful unexpected visit to Millers due to my train cancellation. I enjoyed a tasty lunch paired with a glass of red wine; everything was lovely and the service was excellent. It was quite calm, as you would anticipate on a rainy Wednesday afternoon, but I imagine it gets busier in the evenings after work. Overall, I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4."
