"A wonderful place to relax and feel good. The team is very friendly and gives you the feeling to be welcome. Despite a full host room, each table is covered with a courtesy attention. The mature cheese and the master crust tasted excellent and the carving of Viennese style was bomb, as was the roast potatoes. Also taking two dogs was not a problem because there is enough space between the individual tables, so no other guest feels disturbed. In any case, a place that invites you to stay in summer with a magnificent outdoor area and views as well as in winter with a cozy guest room. The menu is varied and therefore there is something for every taste. We like to come back."

"The location is idyllic, the menu and food delightful, the wine good and affordable, but I couldn't pay for our guests and ourselves because the Baiken does not accept US/Canadian credit cards so bring cash!! May explain why there were lots of locals here,...and very few tourists. This is certainly a locals' secret, as it is in a tiny town (Eltville am Rhein), up the hill at the edge of a large vineyard, in the Rhine Valley near Ruedesheim. The food is very classic German, and well prepared. Two of us had the veal shanks with chanterrelles and a demi-glace. Another had a pork cutlet, with spaetzle. The wait staff was most accommodating, allowing us to switch veggies, etc. We shared a cheese and asparagus quiche as an appy. For wine, we chose a Graubergunder grey burgundy as our wine, like a flavourful pinot gris, costing about euro a bottle, although there were more expensive choices available. Crème caramel and cappuccinos for desert. The outside seating is substantial, with the patio looking down on the Rhine, and there is a large Gaststube inside as well. We'll find a way to get back!"

"Unfortunately, our first visit will also be our last one. to the positive: the wine selection is really delicious and well chosen, in the case of mineral water you should definitely think again about the price (soda stream water, which is presented here, and real brand water should be different in the price). eating is good average, green soße is the hammer! Spatialities are modern paired with old wine house ambience, beautiful!Now to the negative: already when you get in you you will not be noticed or the table-giving waitress without a word by one, no smile at nothing. "hallo, I ordered a pizza with salmon, cream-fraiche and baked cheese today (7.50 auerd it should give chicken bugs with pommes and a kind of mangosauce. (7,50 to dessert it should tiramisu (3,50 the pizza was on and not bad, but discreetly dry. the pizza was also the only dish I had eaten in the brigade. the chicken bugs were very nice, but the inner, absolutely nothing has to do with chicken nuggets. it's just a finished vampir. I would even say that mc donalds Germany sells better nuggets, for less money. the mixed salate was not fresh. I just tried a piece of salatgurke and saw the rest, so I knew that was not fresh. the tiramisu was totally wssrig and it was not well stolen. at the bottom the water has collected. the tiramisu was covered with a lot of impact cream from the sprhdose. they might think they tried to cover up. they shouldn't see what's underneath right away. Last but at least, the location of friends of the sun, I've seen a lot, but I don't have such a dirty and dirty food plant that you can only believe when you've seen it.
