"It is actually somewhat rare to find fondue and raclette in Graubunden. They originate form the French speaking part of Switzerland. So, finding it at restaurant Vorab, is kind of like finding a Philly cheese steak in Houston. That said, they know their market (tourists,...mostly German) come in by the bus load. Still, I find it to be romantic, and the menu is superb. Every time I've gone, I've been treated to a different little amuse-bouche; a shot of chilled fruit soup which is a little different every time. The salads are great. Fresh, with traditional Swiss dressing, and some crunchy stuff, to make the flavors and textures very special. I've had a lot of fundue in my life, but I'd say the Vorab's version makes me dream of my next trip back there. Others posted they didn't enjoy the fondue, but it worked for my palate. They also have some other Swiss specialities such as minced veal. The wine list is full of Swiss surprises. Service was attentive and friendly. This restaurant way outclasses the hotel in which it resides. I might not rush back to lodge here, but Vorab will be my first meal spot as soon as I get to Flims again."

Das Essen ist sehr gut und bietet eine grosse Auswahl an lokalen Spezialitäten von Pizockel bis Kapunz ist alles dabei. Hunde sind auch willkommen.

Direkt neben dem Restaurant Vorab befindet sich die dazugehörige Pizzeria. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und die Bedienung ist sehr nett. Die Pizza war in kürzester Zeit fertig und geschmacklich hervorragend. Voir le carte

Wiener Schnitzel war sehr lecker - und mein Freund hat Spare ribs gehabt und war auch sehr zufrieden! Portion ist ziemlich groß und sehr frisch. Atmosphäre ist angenehm und Preisleistung ist in Ordnung! Kann nur empfehlen

Haben für den Alpabzug in diesem Hotel übernachtet und am ersten Abend auch gleich im Restaurant gegessen, da es eine schöne Wildkarte hat. Der Service ist super nett, der Herbstsalat Vorab hervorragend und auch das Hirschpfeffer war ok.

Gute, schnelle unkomplizierte zuvor kommende Bedienung. Übersichtliche interessante Karte. Wienerschnitzel anstelle 1 grossen Stückes mehrere Schnitzel. Pommes frites ok. Gemüse farblich nicht der Hammer. Weinkarte ok. Störend Lautstärke des eigentlich abtrennbaren Saales. Man versteht sodann maximal den unmittelbaren Nachbarn. Voir le carte

Arrogante und unfreundliche Kassiererin!Als wir feststellten, dass wir zu viele Halbliter-Flaschen Mineralwasser gekauft haben, wollte ich eins davon - selbstverständlich verschlossen und mit Kassenbon - zurückgeben.Sie hat mich ausgelacht und das völlig unlogische Argument gebracht, einen Pullover könne man schliesslich auch nicht zurückgeben ...Zum Glück gibt es im Skigebiet super Alternativen: In der Segneshütte wird man mehr als zuvorkommend bedient und fühlt sich von der 1. zur letzten Minute als Gast willkommen. Im Vorab war ich das letzte Mal!

Terrible Fondue, supposed to be the best fondue place in Flims/Laax unless the fondue should taste like gasoline, apparently they make it with white wine but it tasted like a mix of whiskey, white whine an a little bit cheese. The chef/owner came to our...table angerly , arrogantly and deamining to how wrong we were about his fondue. I would never go back there and would never recommend it to anyone. For 160 swiss franc we could have had way more pleasant experience and none the less better fondue. Riktig dålig mat och horribel upplevlese, skal angivelig vara bäste fondue stället i dette området om så man gillar diesel smak i maten. Dålig service och väldig överreklamerad.
