"I've known about the existence of this place for over a decade and at last an opportunity presented itself to make the 400 mile trip and visit. Boy was I pleased. Traditional Indian, Gujarati and Southern Indian food freshly made by a passionate family run operation. The vegan choice is outstanding. Other than the odd paneer dish and raita dressing it's pretty much all dairy free. We started with popadoms served with a finely chopped and fragrant onion salad and chutney. Starters were onion bhaji and a lightly spiced potato ball dish called Bateta Wada. Main course was my benchmark Indian dish of vegetable madras and a Kerala vegetable dish. This was served with rice and chapatis. Washed down with Kingfisher beer the whole event came to £27. Staff were very pleased to hear of their great reviews on Happy Cow. Long life to Veggie Perrins."

I visited on a Thursday night, which is the banquet night. As a solo traveller it was a little odd to be eating a banquet alone, but the staff were welcoming and accommodating. The food was great.

can highly recommend both the Thursday dosa banquet and the regular menu for delicious vegan Indian food. the workers are always helpful, eating can serve a because, but good that is worth waiting!

We have only been on Thursdays which is banquet night, where there is a set menu (everything is vegan bar one chutney which if you let them know they'll swap for you). Truly delicious and great value, we try and go whenever we can.

The food here is outstanding, quite simply some of the best Indian food I have ever eatan. Also amazing value, 3 dishes, rice, two types of bread, poppadoms, deserts and a bottle of wine for under £35. The owner talked us through the history of his restaurant, lovely man, great story. this jewel visited this year for the first time on Thursday when it has a set menu. we started to knuckle and spicy kartoffels in a light teig that were both delicious. then followed dosa and several gujarati and Keralan dishes that are all perfect! we plan to visit another day to try the regular menu, can not wait!

Have visited many times, i must say it is my absolute favourite indian ever. Good menu with lots of vegan options, if you let the staff know that you are vegan on arrival they will explain which menu items are suitable. The interior could do with a spruce up, amd the service could be a bit faster, but don't let it put you off as the food is so good and is well worth the wait.

I'm going back for the Food in spite of the long wait below average service. The service wasn't great... Apparently It is unheard of to serve a Korma made with Coconut Milk , they forgot to serve us our drinks (so we just went without) the owner appeared annoyed that my sister brought a pram baby into his restaurant! That aside the FOOD was Amazing! So, when we do go back we will be prepared to wait a long time and not expect great service in order to enjoy the delicious food. (We visited last year)
