Stopped off for lunch after a walk in Sheringham Park. The staff are incredible and the food is absolutely amazing even the butter tasted like it was home made. Superb value for money. Nearby activities: You are very limited of where to go if the weather isn’t on your side. Everything is geared up for families with children and outdoor activities. Walkability: The Dales Country House is situated in the Sheringham Country Park which has plenty of beautiful walks. There are costal walks once you get into Sheringham, and the sounding area is geared up for walking. Rooms: 4

My husband, our two friends visiting from Scotland, and I dined here last night as part of Norfolk's Restaurant Week. We got stuck in a traffic jam in Norwich and arrived an hour late for our reservation. However, the staff were incredibly accommodating, and we enjoyed a delicious meal that was beautifully presented. We never felt rushed to leave our table, which made for a very pleasant experience overall. Thank you to everyone at The Dales!

We booked late notice with our two dogs for last Friday and Saturday nights and ate both nights in an outside gazebo, Lobster, Steak, local cheeses and nice French Red Wine. Many thanks to Robin, Josh and colleagues for such a personal service It’s one of North Norfolks hidden gems especially being next to Sheringham Park as well and a must stay/eat country hotel Rooms: Excellent dog friendly ground floor room with easy access to Sheringham Park Food drinks: Nice local food, especially crab and lobsters

The Dales Hotel was quite impressive, aside from the size of the room. The hotel itself was spotless, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Both breakfast and dinner were well-prepared and abundant, with a different menu for each day of our stay. Conveniently located within walking distance of Sheringham and the beach, the hotel also offers a lovely walk through Sheringham Park if you cut through the grounds. While the room size was a bit disappointing considering the price, and the decor could use some care, overall, it is a charming country house hotel that is definitely worth a visit.

This is a review of the restaurant only, and only for lunch. The inn's setting is absolutely lovely. On a warm sunny day the tables on the expansive lawn are really inviting. The food at lunch on the day we visited, however, was ordinary. Smoked salmon sandwich came on a thick, dry bun with a tiny bit of salmon. Chips were nice. Caesar salad with chicken featured only 3 or 4 very thinly sliced strips of chicken and a bit of mayo for the dressing. Bacon was nice, however. Best thing about lunch was the wine list. Surprising variety by the glass and a generous pour. Service was really outstanding and probably saved the day. Very dog friendly both inside and outside. We'll return for the wine,...
