The coffee was reasonably priced, and they also offered a great selection of alcohol-free beer. The staff was always friendly but not overly attentive. Unfortunately, my friend found the fries from the new menu to be underwhelming, and my spicy salad wasn't hot enough for my taste."

Just returned from having a really tasty meal at the Global Cafe. The Thursday Thali is a vegetarian meal full of flavour. Tonight we had two curries chickpea and carrot with rice, naan and lime pickle. Friendly staff and prompt service well worth trying out this unique Reading cafe!

A local favourite for years, I went to check out the new menu now that the Ethiopian kitchen has moved to its own premises. It was surprisingly good, extensive and fresh vegan menu with interesting choices, really well made. Walk out of the boring town centre for 5 min and go somewhere genuinely unique.

The restaurant now offers a new all-vegetarian menu at the bar. A friend and I enjoyed a delicious vegan wrap with flavorful side dishes. The food arrived promptly and was enough for both of us. The bar also has a fantastic selection of wines, beers, coffee, and tea, as well as live musical performances in the evenings.

The Thursday Thali is delicious highly recommend this classic Indian cuisine as it is packed full of flavour, not too spicy and a perfect winter warmer. Reasonably priced at £13.50 (including a soft drink or £15 with an alcoholic beverage. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is homely but fun. Quirky decor, ethical and social stick around for live music and open Mike sessions for little something extra.... A wonderful evening to be had ;

During our trip to Reading for a graduation, our daughter brought us to this restaurant for a family lunch. The food was vegan and delicious. I ordered a light and mild curry, perfect for lunch. My wife was pleasantly surprised by the beans on toast she ordered, enjoying the variety and taste of the dish. The kids all loved their vegan burgers. The restaurant offered good value, with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. It deserves to be successful.
