The best food in Orbetello. Spaghetti ai frutti di mare the best I have ever eaten! Fresh and tasteful, full of cozze, vongole, gamberetti, calmari and the big shrimp I forgot the name. Gnocchi con gorgonzola deliciuos! Customer service on a high level and the prices are ok, we paid 60 EUR for 4 people in total.

sono stata con un gruppo ad Orbetello e per tre sere abbiamo cenato in questo locale volevo ringraziare il proprietario per la bella figura che mi ha fatto fare nei confronti delle persone che hanno fatto il viaggio con me, abbiamo mangiato benissimo, con vari menù e con costi accessibili, un plauso per gli antipasti di pesce e per le bruschette. e lode ve lo raccomando. In un vicolo parallelo al corso principale il locale internamente non si presenta un granché bene: arredamento vecchio e poco accogliente. I tavoli all’esterno sono piazzati anche davanti ai portoni di casa per cui può capitare di doversi alzare per far entrare i residenti. La cucina sforna un po’ di tutto senza infamia e senza lode, ma le pizze sono una buone. Prezzo contenuto.

I have checked out La Taverna while being on holiday with my family. The place is much more accommodating than you would guess from the outside. The dining area is air conditioned and the staff did react quickly to requests and was friendly. The most outstanding however was the insanely fast serving. We were there during the week, but the place was heavily visited. Therefore, I do recommend to make a reservation. The house whine (red) was fairly good and I would have given 5 if it weren't for the chairs. They could be more comfortable.

If I could give zero star, I definitely would. I've been in Orbetello many times as my missus from here, so I've visited many restaurants, pizzerias, but la taverna has been the worst so far. The staff, especially the female waitress, is the most unfriendly, unprofessional person I've met in this town. She has not been smiling or welcoming at all. The owner was running like a headless chicken. It seemed to be that he had no idea what he was doing. My pizza was ok. Nothing more, nothing less, but the mushrooms were slimy and definitely from a can. Basically, I've had better frozen pizza from a shop.
