"i was recommended this out of the way restauant by the hotel where i was staying in san giovanni rotondo, i would never have found it if i was not told about it and i am delighted to say that i went two nights in a row the staff were amazing and the owner michele and his brother are perfect hosts and each night i felt special the food is of a quality and variety that only a chef of high standard could create, their speciality is fish and you can eat a really beautiful meal for an amazing price, we had the housewine twice but they hAve a list of wines and also a pizza menue that gives you a sense that even the most discerning of diners or the young man who wants to impress his new girlfriend could afford to eat at a budget or at a high cost it depends on what you eat, but whatever it is, I CAN GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL COME OUT WANTING TO RETURN. What can i say, we entered as diners, we left as friends and that is the same for all who eat at the chalet, i cannot wait to return, i live in milan and it is far away but as soon as i am in puglia again i will come and dine, thanks for a lovely evening, Rita and Gennaro"

The bread was fantastic. We asked for olive oil to dip our bread in. They grilled Italian Sausage for us as our second. We both had pasta as our first!! Very good. Great staff!!

Ottimo. Mangiato a cena gran fritto di pesce e mia moglie) tagliata di pesce spada. Contorno, Vino ed acqua. Dolci e caffè. Prezzo corretto se hai il camper nella loro area di sosta, completa di cari/scarico, corrente ed acqua, puoi godere di sconto interessante Servizio ai tavoli di classe

Non avevamo prenotato e il locale era pienissimo. I gestori sono stati carini a riservarci il primo tavolo disponibile. Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto e una grigliata mista. Antipasto molto buono e ricco, ma la grigliata ci ha veramente stupito, soprattutto la musciscka. La carne è di ottima qualità, la cottura è eccellente. Una scoperta davvero inaspettata. Ci siamo fermati per pranzo un po' per caso e siamo rimasti stupefatti della qualità delle portate di pesce e da un servizio eccellente. Bel locale, ma la cucina è quella gradevole scoperta che non ti aspetti. Da provare la carrellata di antipasti di mare freddi e caldi. Sapori ricercati e piatti mai scontati. Prezzi onestissimi allineati alla proposta. Da ritornarci sicuramente!!

Sono stato con mia moglie a pranzo in questo ristorante. Abbiamo ordinato antipasti caldi e freddi di pesce, tutto buono a parte un errore sui freddi, nonostante la buona preparazione sono risultati un po salati. Grigliata di pesce veramente buonissima. Prezzo più o meno giusto, poteva starci anche qualche euro inmeno. antipasti completi, una grigliata, acque, boccali di vino bianco e dolci a euro. Personale cortese. Peccato non ci sono i mezzi pallini, altrimenti gliene avrei dato e mezzo.

Facile raggiungerlo e dota di navetta. Nessuna difficolta' di parcheggio. Ambienti accoglienti ed ampi. Servizio ottimo, anche in considerazione del numero alto di coperti occupati: personale, gentile, disponibile e sollecito. Cibo di qualita' media. Unico vero, ma non trascurabile punto negativo, il prezzo esoso applicato alle pietanze, al di fuori dal pranzo fisso, con particolare riferimento alla frittura richiesta di gamberi e calamari (che al contrario erano seppie! , anche molto mediocre. Ci hanno indirizzato in questo ristorante dei tassisti dicendo che era vicino al santuario...ma fare circa MT sotto il sole d agosto non è stato piacevole.siamo stati accolti in maniera molto professionale e la sala era molto bella. Abbiamo preso un mini antipasto di terra due primi e due dolci, da bere una bottiglia di acqua una coca cola e mezzo litro di vino della casa. Due caffè un amaro. Abbiamo speso per me un po' troppo visto che antipasto e primi non arrivavano a spendere del resto mi sembra un po'troppo. Devo dire comunque che abbiamo mangiato molto bene e i camerieri erano molto professionali.

The place is truly rustic and wonderful, the service belongs in at least a 2 Michelin star restaurant in Rome or Milan, but the food was average at best. The mixed fish platter was rather small for the price and the fish wasn't exactly fresh caught, the pizza was pretty stodgy although it had ample mozzarella on it, and the antipasti were meagre at best. Considering that they charge fairly hefty prices, you would expect the food to be much better. However, since San Giovanni Rotondo rolls up the sidewalks in October and the vast majority of ALL the places seal up tight for the winter, this was the best place that was actually OPEN.

"the restaurant l’Abete remains a point of reference for me to propose a typical cuisine of great quality that stands out from the mass. in a period dominated by expressions like “zero kilometers” or “local cuisine” here you will be pleased with a series of recipes of the South Tyrolean tradition. the room is bright and elegant with a furniture that recalls the crafts of Trentino. the staff is celery at the service and very professional and educated. from the lap of appetizers you can appreciate the authentic goto given by a selection of high quality ingredients and raw materials. taragna polenta with mortandela, mushrooms and cheese is a good starting point and an excellent presentation card as well as the cutter of typical slices and chicken with apples and curry. all accompanied by hot walnut bread or other types cooked by them. the first dishes are all very inviting but, my favorite, undoubtedly remains the cocoa troccoli with roe ragù, a real ecstasy for the palate. analogous speech for meat seconds among which I adore the stench of pork baked, the goulash of beef at the Tyrolean and the rooster of roe roe in salmì. often it is also possible to find cuts of meat off menu, such as diaphragm or foal cheek. meats are always very tender and goose and much attention is placed in the kitchen both in preparations and in presentations. the choice on sweets is disarming even if I have a weakness for their apple strudel, but there is really the embarrassment of choice and never disappointed. The wine paper focuses on high adige productions, but also includes regional labels and various other backgrounds to give them considerable thickness and complexity. the account is adequate and I am always very satisfied and with the certainty of returning."
